Not sure I see where your "arguments" come from, where they go to, or where they belong.

We're had lots of discussions about not falling into left-right traps, about looking harder at where one falls on the "Political Compass". I don't remember a lot of your participation.

Sometimes, names and labels are hard to distinguish. And they aren't terribly helpful.

But, Trump is an a**hole, for sure.

For someone who claims not to have any favourites in the matter, you sure seem to have a lot to say. A LOT to say. I was just wondering what your reactions were to actual events, rather than watch you trying to pretend you're above it all.

In the lots that I have to say you see my reactions to 'actual events' ... that you choose to ignore what I say does not make me the one claiming to be above it all ... obviously if I thought I was above it all I would not try to bear witness to my perceptions of what is 'actually' going on as opposed to what the propaganda is trying to tell us is actually going on.

I agree ... most political actors that are 'on stage' do not know the meaning of remorse ... If they did they would not attain or maintain the positions that they have been selected for.
 
Since becoming a pariah to many in the Republican party, will Trump go out and found the MAGA party or get carried away in a straightjacket first? Will he still be a billionaire by this time next year? Will he become a ward of his children?

Until the 70,000,000 people who voted for him realize that they have been duped by his rhetoric, they could be as dangerous on the loose as he is. It will take a personal Saul-on-the-road-to-Damascus epiphany, much as experienced by Kelly Loeffler of Georgia, to bring the States back towards sanity and unity.

He may be the first president to be elected after being carried out in a straight jacket.
 
I think trump believers, have been shocked by his statement. Scripted though it was. And one article I saw discussed how they feel it was in code. That he was actually saying I will be president, it has come to pass! The mob that turned into an insurgence likely shocked a lot of the middle of the road protestors. The people who got that rock concert effect from Trump rallies were there for the rah rah rah stuff.
the Proud Boys and other nazi groups were there for a different reason.
the dangerous ones are the ones sitting at home and building bombs and planning the next Oklahoma bombing. And the idea that the Capital building can be so easily overwhelmed buy men with pipes and sticks, no gun fire, is a dangerous thing

as Many commentators have said, the GOP made a pact with the devil. They got what they wanted. Lower taxes, hundreds of judges, less regulations. This is the pay back. I hope this is the end of Cruz and Hawley. It certainly seems to be, though resurrections happen in politics

Would you like to say why you are suggesting a Rhodes Scholar would be needed?

The attribution to your quote is missing.

I don’t see how Rhodes’ secret society fantasy is any kind of a solution to the situation in the United States. Or maybe, are you suggesting that Rhodes’ dream sort of came true in the States where white supremacists pull the strings and are continuing their efforts to solidify control? If that is what you are implying, it is obvious that it doesn’t work so the answer to your question is: None.

Agreed.

Lindsay Graham, a true-blood GOP man but no longer a staunch Trump supporter, has already been a target.

It will be hard to feel safe in the States if you have any sort of a political opinion.
 
I can’t post it but there is a very sad article in the new york Times about the guy in the Camp Auswitch sweatshirt. But a women in Berlin who was in the camps
