Yes Trump is a funny guy. Democrats know poor Biden would get chewed up if he was in the same room with Trump. So they are trying like mad to find legitimate sounding excuses to not have debates this year.

The Democrats media who only let people hear tiny clips of what Trump says and then spin it out of context would have a problem with keeping their story straight, if all Americans could tune in and hear what Trump actually says.

So Donald, knowing that right now Twitter is his only way of reaching people, and knowing the dems are planning on keeping him from being heard, calls up his buddy Kanye, and gets him to run for president as an independent. And Kanye says he will run his government the way the government is run in the Black Panther movie. So totally kooky, and is only going to draw votes from the LLeft.

So hitting Biden from both ends. So if Biden wants to sit out the presidential debates-fine with Trump, he and Kanye can have the debates without him and take turns playing pin the tail on the donkey.

Fantastic trolling.

I do not understand why you are defending Trump other than you use the same tactics of claiming the media is controlled by the left and claims of misrepresentation. People on WC2 pay attention to what is happening in the world and do not fall for the 1984 stuff of changing what is supposed to be truth day by day. We remember what Trump said and noticed his lies about what he said frequently. Your defense of him seems to be constructed of the same kind of nonsense as what he says. Tens of thousands of Americans have died and more will die because he cares more about the dollars in his pocket than he does about people.

I think that all media uses sound bites. And politicians speak in sound bites hoping for a story

but the best trump stuff is his rambling press conferences, his rambling rallies and of course his bizarre tweets

there was quite a good analysis in the globe today though that pointed out the best criticisms are coming from republican groups. They see that he is a dangerous man and not a republican at all

the democrats often sound way to strident and over the top

the trump lovers will not budge. The left Democrats will not budge. So again it is down to the middle folks. And those need to be presented with reasoned arguments. Not hysteria

but I love that post up thread About slowly backing away. He is like the crazy uncle at a family wedding. Avoid him at all costs

You make an assumption that people only get their news from one source. While that may be the case often, it isn't always true.

I believe the president is a very damaged man. I believe he is unfit for the office he holds. I've tried to see his redeeming qualities. I've even watched what Fox says about him. I've watched things where he is speaking for longer periods. The notorious covid briefings as one example. I did not see how any "context" would make his behaviour reasonable.

This man has been well known for decades. I will admit that I have never been impressed. I don't have any respect for greedy, narcissistic braggarts who treat women like toys to be used.

I fail to see how he is suitable for his position or even remotely admirable. View attachment 3905
I’d probably enjoy talking to him. I’ve talked to lots of characters at bus stops. That doesn’t mean I’d vote for him.

It’s ok, we all look the same.

How's that? Bad in your eye's except the self ... as we can't see the self in us without backing away in regressive action to watch from out there! The the command for ekkles ... to scatter!

From this action one might gather something in response to everything ... interdependence! Thus feedback of both kinds!

I am not sure how I'd do. I am inclined to think I'm more like Stephen Colbert who doesn't want him on his show because he wouldn't be able to show him the respect the office warrants.

Colbert had him on his show before the election and was roasted for being respectful to him. He said he regretted having him on.

I mean, if he was a weird random dude with make up and hairspray, sitting on a bench talking about nonsense, I might enjoy talking to him briefly. I wouldn’t want him to be POTUS. I also wouldn’t necessarily get up and walk away.

Here, then, are at least 10 reasons Trump would make a stellar president.
  1. Trump believes in American exceptionalism.
  2. Trump is tough, unafraid to flex America’s muscles, and has the backbone America needs to take on the evil growing around the world.
  3. Trump is an experienced and tough dealmaker.
  4. Trump is not politically correct; he’s not afraid to say what he believes and has ignited an honest debate.
  5. Trump demands high performance and will fire anyone that doesn’t meet his high standards.
  6. Trump is committed to education.
  7. Trump “built that business” and many more and will run America like a business.
  8. Trump will not balance his job as President with golf and other social events.
  9. Trump’s loyalty will be only to America and Americans—not any political party, special interest group or foreign entity.
  10. Trump will support American laws, the Constitution, and the nation’s borders.
Trump gets it.
Trumps understands the level of concern American’s have with the current direction of the country. America doesn’t just want change. American wants Oblimination – the complete reversal of President Obama’s failed policies.

4 years later, these 10 reasons read like a bad joke. I think every reason was proved false.

an interesting thing I find with trump is his enablers

the republicans who so want to be in power that they are willing to throw the country under the bus to keep him happy

so much for checks and balances. It obviously doesn’t actually work when one side is willing to overlook everything

I saw an interview or something where Colbert was asked why he wouldn't have the president on his show. He said he would not be able to give him the respect the office deserved. Colbert can handle being roasted. The issue is of being respectful

Respectful regardless of the freedom available ... why is it that respectful responses must be a bit from the cerebellum so those that don;t wish to know can easily deny it bys saying I don;t wish to know or understand that. There is a biblical verse that indicates that love of understanding is reasonable!

Imagine an essence of a god of wisdom ... holy 'oyle!

It might’ve been from learned experience. I read that he regretted having him on and being respectful to him, when he was a candidate in 2016. When I say roasted, I mean he took a lot of public criticism and I think he apologized. Now that Trump has been in office and Colbert has dedicated most of his shows to mocking Trump pretty harshly, because he obviously can’t stand him - I can see why he wouldn’t want to give him even a moment of time on his show.

I don't think anyone LIES about Trump. I think they listen, though. And what they hear, if they just listen dispassionately, is the voice of a little boy who doesn't always get his way.

I get that you support conservatives, PG-13. I'm a bit disappointed, from an IQ POV, that a man of your obvious talents can't distinguish the poor quality of the conservatives you are being asked to support. I had a lot of respect for Joe Clark, for Bill Davis; there's even some current backbenchers I could find some respect for, like Christine Elliot. My own MP is not awful.

But buying into this American partisan polarity movement is just bulls**t. It makes it impossible for you to talk to us, it makes it impossible for us to be friends, to have common goals. It's really a bad idea.
