It's not ALL bad, Inanna; that patch off New Zealand that they turned into a preserve has rebounded. However, the amount of plastic in the oceans, in the food chain, the dead areas, the heating poles and increased temperature, the death of the coral, is pretty scary. I have a sister who is a master diver (spent a few winters working on tourist-y diving boats in the Caribbean), who has dived in many different parts of the Americas. She's in her 50s and has seen some very sad and frightening changes in her lifetime of diving.

I doubt it. I suspect it's the spectre of being exposed themselves that haunts them. I think his general level of sexual propriety was pretty well exposed by his multiple marriage patterns. Fool around on wife #1 with wife #2. Fool around on wife #2 with wife #3. Do some of this fooling around while early version of wife is either very ill or pregnant. Rinse and repeat.
