TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

The church can't do much if it holds itself apart from other persons and groups that support democracy and human rights. Church membership and relevance is in decline. Out on the west coast there are likely more atheists than church goers. Hardly anybody goes to church. It's a small entity here - all denominations. They're not noticed much. But human rights, equality, peace, and the environment are issues of importance despite decline in church membership. The church has to be for the people rather than the people for the church, in order to do anything significant and be taken seriously. Pope Francis has made some headway in that regard, and I respect him for it - even though he is still stuck in a few old school views.

Funny thing is - I thought the church was supposed to be for God.

And so you thought the biggest issue facing American voters was abortion? You had no concern for the millions of innocent people, including babies, that the U.S. kills all over the world?

And so you thought the biggest issue facing American voters was abortion? You had no concern for the millions of innocent people, including babies, that the U.S. kills all over the world?

I guess that's addressed to me. If it is, just let me say that I don't want to see any murders take place in the world. Do you stand with me Graeme against the murder of millions of unborn babies each year in the abortion mills of the world?

1 If you don't want any murders anywhere in the world, how could have support Trump?
2. I don't stand with you against abortion because we have a long history of such a law being broken - and at the risk of the mother's life as well.
Would I prefer not to see abortion? Yes, I would. But we know it will happen no matter what the law says. You can certainly urge people not to have abortions. You can work to ensure that those babies who are not aborted are not simply dumped into poverty and worse.
To protest abortion is, of course, all right. But it would be more useful (and less self-righteous) to offer positive help for women who want abortion for economic reasons.
And you don't want murders anywhere in the world? Have you protested the murderous behaviour of the U.S.? Have you offered help to refugees fleeing American terror? Have you protested the deliberate starvation of millions in Africa and the middle east - as in Yemen?
The latter, incidentally, is a mass murder condoned by - guess who - Donald Trump.

I do not know President Trump to be a murderer.

That's right.

Graeme Decarie said:

I don't know of any murderous behavior of America. So, no.

Graeme Decarie said:
Have you offered help to refugees fleeing American terror?

No. I've never encountered any.

Graeme Decarie said:

No. I don't know that to be a reality.

You''ve never heard of the deliberate starvation of the people of Yemen? You must live in a very thick bubble. It's been public knowledge for a long time. You've never hear of Trump's ordering of bombing in Syria? You don't know of the tens of millions of refugees from American killing in the middle east? You didn't hear of Trump handing out thee hundred billion of weapons to Saudi Arabia? And, okay, you never heard of American murderous behaviour? You don't know that the U.S. lied in the reasons it gave for invading Iraq? You never heard of mass murder of the Maya people, 200,000 of them, in Guatemala - not to mention the murders of clergy and missionaries who supported the Maya? You don't know about civilian deaths in the American bombing of Mosul? And I'll bet you don't even know about the intense use of racism in Trump's election campaign. You've never heard of Drones?
Do you spend your whole life looking at your own bellybutton?

I've heard you talk about it. Never heard it from anyone else that I can recall.

No, nor listening to conspiracy theorists.

Okay. This is weird. Twilight Zone weird. An NSA contractor was, apparently, arrested for classified leaks to the media...she's a 25 year old named "Reality Winner".

Is it just me...or does that irony seem surreal? That can't be real! Can it?

Reality Winner, an NSA Contractor, Is Arrested for Leaking Classified Information

Can we have 'boring' back? The constant drama and excitement - like a run-on (and on and on) thriller of a movie - is a bit much; and the head turning news keeps triggering my cervical spine injury. I think it's literally starting to get on my nerves! As in pinched nerves. Could it be suppressed-stress related? I try to laugh at least once a day...to see humour in the bizarreness...but some things, if they're not tragic, are just over the top weird.

I'm sure the name will get some attention in the coming days. The irony is too obvious to pass up.

The most powerful man in the world is a billionaire named Trump - a wheeling and dealing charismatic "card" - who starred in a popular reality TV show. He runs a presidential campaign like a reality show ... Gets elected to most of the world's amazement...and chagrin. As president, he vows to stop leaks and fake news (that he reads and watches and tweets his mind about)...and, in the news, an intelligence agent who supposedly leaked info regarding alleged Russian ties is named...Reality Winner? It's real-time satire!

We're in an alternate Universe, I think. Really...I wonder about that quantum physics multiverse stuff. Maybe we're not supposed to take "reality" too seriously...seriously. All is not "normal" in the world today.

Qui words ... "I don't know" fits in a lot of these statements of non cognizance beyond what is blind faith that it is so without question! Qui like Pi is a rational function of consumption and non retainer ... i.e. disposable virtue!

Never say anything of cognizance to a person that doesn't wish to know any more anyhow, whatever! Thus the un wisened sol ... the great dark void without form ... tis biblical ... the distorted un con science ... a mire essence! Like dervish ... dusty ...

The world is a stage ... patience folks existence will pass and all that will be left is essence or the right kind of stink ... ethereal humus? Flying unknown crap ... missals!

Has anyone seen the Aviator (starring Leonardo DiCaprio, 2002)? Trump is reminding me a lot of Howard Hughs (as portrayed) right now.

Well, except Hughes was a recluse who likely would never have run for office by the time he was Trump's age.

Yes, saw The Aviator at the cinema. However Kimmio, I don't get the connection between Trump and Hughes.
