TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

It was a good speech (good job Ivanka ;)). It's the first time I sensed a bit of nervousness from Trump...good to see some vulnerability there actually...and he came across as real and genuine and even polite. But...he DID say all those other things not so long ago, with conviction, and they weren't just little slip-ups. He does have a large contingent of racist supporters at home, where he'll have to talk through the other side of his mouth, to appease them to get votes. He says he wants to raise wages but he pays as little as possible and hires illegal immigrants. And the whole physical wall thing is ridiculous, but it's the most concrete...pardon the pun...platform idea in his whole campaign.

It was a very good speech (good job Donald (y)). I sensed authority in him. He is really coming off as quite Presidential these days. He was real, and genuine, and polite. It was great to see him pay respect to the President of Mexico. No doubt this speech pleased his millions of supporters in America of a myriad races. That a wall might be built is sad, but if it's something that's needed to stop illegal immigration, it should be built.

Wow

Clinton's handler Godzilla has made smore Confirmation Bias traps going after such small fry as Infowars n Brietbart n Assange trying to hook them up with Trump and Russia...bizarre...

But it works

And it relies on us human beings...hey MIND VIRUS!!!

And it works even when we are aware of it...

Well, here is the most bizarre thing yet. Trump is attending an African American church in

Detroit. He has quoted scripture and been given a Prayer shawl. That doesn't appeal to me. Too phony.

He's reaching out to African-Americans who are his brothers and sisters in Christ. I think that's great.

Hello....

Herod knew well how to manipulate the strings and levers of power. He made Jerusalem great again. Temple elites and beneficiaries were impressed and supportive. Quite a contrast to Jesus who refused the power option and encouraged others to follow in this alternative imagination.

Well there are all sorts of "power" options. Jesus just used another form.

Not all governments or people elected to them are trying to emulate Harod. Some actually have an alternative imagination. And in some cases even their vision was squashed because the Barabbas' and Barabbas followers of this world cannot get beyond insisting that Harod is the only thing coming between them and their individual freedom.

I've read a bit about the difference between positive and negative liberty. And you can't actually have equality with total negative liberty. And positive liberty can be abused when it is too paternalistic ("I know what's best for everybody all the time and they don't").But compromise between the two is essential. Negative liberty can also be tyranny to those who seek equality.

So, is there consensus on whether Jesus' vision was of equality or of total freedom? I'm of the former camp. His purpose being not to abolish the law but to fulfill it...eventually we'll see it fulfilled.

Here's this again. I think it's appropriate:
