13 minutes of my life I will never have back.

Hence my response to @chansen about not bothering. I have very little time of my own these days. I don't plan to spend it watching bulls**t because @chansen says I should. There's interesting, entertaining, educational stuff I could be watching. There's a story competition on one of my writing sites I could be entering (though I'm blocked at the moment). And so on. Given my already fragile mood, spending my personal on BS ain't happening. I see enough of it through other sources that don't cost me 13 minutes of my wild and precious life.

Which is fair. Nothing about the thumbnail or the title intrigued me. In fact, that was where the eyes started rolling.

I didn't attempt to watch it because Chansen said we should. I attempted to watch it because Blackbelt1961 does seem open to hearing from some members here at Wondercafe2 even if they disagree with him. We generally have a healthy and respectful rapport so I attempted it because Blackbelt1961 thought it somehow relevant.

The length was a deterrent and had the positions been argued from a position of strength rather than innuendo I may have lasted longer.

While this particular video was scant on anything interesting, entertaining or educational it was not devoid of it. Mind you most of the interest and education I found was in spite of the presentation not because of it.

Which is fair and shows a level of self-care I applaud.

True enough. My motivation was to gain some understanding. I might not bite at every hook they dangle. I am always curious to see what bait is employed to get other fish to bite as well as to try and suss out how others may discern the same material I am looking at. It is part of communication strategy for me. Not quite walking a mile in someone else's shoes. More often than not an attempt to see if I can see what they claim they see.

I consider that revjohn has "taken one for the team" in terms of precious minutes of life; I did make a minor effort, but the credits, the volume, defeated me very quickly. Thank you for the analysis, which should really have been provided by the person that posted the video, which is, I believe, supposed to be one of the quasi-rules around here.

Take it with a grain of salt. I didn't manage to make it to the half-way point. I seriously doubt that the video redeems itself in the second half and gets down to actually putting an argument forward instead of imagining one.

It would make it easier to engage the material or, at the very least, help one decide on whether or not one wants to engage the material. Once the term "patriots" was thrown out and the allegation made that the "patriots" were strategically forcing the Deep State to want the Mueller Report and the Impeachment proceedings I could have shut the video down. I think that would have saved me 10 -11 minutes.

But Mendalla, if you don't watch the video, how are you going to falsely equate my positions with blackbelt's so as to avoid offending?

I was never ordering people to do anything. I do think it's important to listen to the other side of things, but I'm not disparaging those who don't want to or can't stomach the insanity. Hell, I only made it 3 minutes. So don't read my post as some kind of requirement. I was just having fun with how difficult it was to watch that bulls**t.

Which makes me anxious about that Democrat-run pizzeria that supposedly had a child sex ring operating out of the basement

The bottom line is every 'child sex ring' scandal is covered up by 'prominent members of every public sector', from parliament, police, intelligence services, the judiciary, the 'royal' households, social services, entertainment services, military service, financial services and last but not least ... clergy. Epstein is the latest and it appears we are not allowed to discuss it period. The fall guy has been 'suicided' - end of story. Focus on the entertainment front of the 'Trump Side Show'.

Half-truths are fiction. They borrow enough appearance of truth to make swallowing the lie easier for their target.

We live in a society that makes no sense, but that we are not allowed to criticize.

That makes delusion a requirement of citizenship: first a brainwashing, then freedom of speech.

Where does all of this leave us?

It leaves us with the laughable democracy of the oligarchs, the best democracy money can buy ...

That’s not what we’re doing. Trump may be accidentally, surreally, entertaining just by being who he is - off his rocker - and getting away with it in plain sight...He’s like the caricature of what one pictures a New York oligarch to be like - such a TV satire of himself that comedians’ (aka court jesters’) impressions of him are not even that far off - the resultant damage of his time in office is not “actually” funny, though. I doubt most of us think the impact of how he’s governing is funny.

Epstein was a fall guy for the Clintons, or for Trump? (Besides, it’s highly likely he committed suicide on his own initiative because he was going to be in a prison cell for a long time as a high profile pedophile after living like a decadent, sinister, billionaire - or maybe it was a prison inside job because some prisoners heard he was there. Maybe the guards were deliberately lax)? Because he was, unfortunately, real. His plane and his island and his mansion where he ran his actual underage sex trafficking operation were all real. He really knew both the Clintons and Trump. Trump partied with him. Epstein was already charged and convicted but got away with a light sentence, previously, because Acosta, one of Trump’s former cabinet ministers had been Epstein’s lawyer at the time - then Epstein carried on sex trafficking girls for several more years in a big conspicuous mansion in Manhattan, with high profile people like Prince Andrew staying over. Yet, the pizzeria where children were allegedly being trafficked in the basement didn’t even have a basement...but AJ - one of Trump’s best promoters - sure got a bunch of people enraged about it anyway. It was some kind of red herring. This X22 thing reminds me of that. It’s the same followers...but the commenter doesn’t sound quite as manic.

Correction...Acosta was US Attorney and he helped broker the plea deal that gave Epstein a light sentence several years ago. He was later hired by Trump as a cabinet minister. It’s hard to keep track of all the details, they’re many, and astonishing.

I meant Acosta not Epstein. Acosta was US Attorney. I corrected but you grabbed it first!

What does what lies there call truth?

A hoax or some other ridiculous metaphor that the flat out superficial (facetious) cannot understand because of the darkpool of words?

Thus facets of the gem as it falls ... it may cause interesting ... spectra ... shades of sephia ...
