I was just banned from r/Conservative over at Reddit. Here is the sum total of my posts there that got me banned (I'm "BartBandy" there)

The deleted comment above was somewhere along the lines of "Why is it good that the president is a troll?"

Shades of Aaron here. You do your best to get along, and they ban you for trying to be nice and calm down the rhetoric.

It is a complete team/tribal mentality now, where people have chosen a team and cheer for it, no matter what that team does.
 
I should note that the thread was flagged "Conservatives Only". I'm quite certain that flag was not there when I posted. Even if it was, their first response to those two posts was to ban me.

anything associated with Trump becomes Trump...so Ivanka can be called a c*** without repercussions from her employers because they hate Trump and people can lose millions in income just by showing how Trump Manipulates and Persuades and whole swathes of people can be hated just because they voted for Trump. Its insane.

This is why I screenshot the hell out of threads when I don't trust the moderators (get a free account with imgur.com and use the official Imgur plugin for your browser, it's easy). I really tried to understand their thinking and not be, well, my usual self.

I think it looks weak when people oppose online mockery with online bans. Mockery only works when there is an element of truth to it. I really don't get people who ban those who ask legitimate questions. It just kills your credibility.

I agree. If your beliefs cannot be questioned, they aren't very strong. I've been blocked for asking questions that would have taken the answerer off their talking points. The MP for Peace River North in BC is notorious for blocking constituents for that reason.

Mockery is too much like that bird satire, satyr or the devil in other words ... metaphors are mocking ... and that bird must be put down as the powerful are really not all that smart ... or we wouldn't be in the human stew some of us have observed!

Being beyond it you can see it ... assists by being eliminated from those cooked and goosed ... duck soup? Avoid it ...
