TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

I say this seriously and with great regret. Hitler was nothing new to the world. But we didn't mind him at first because his behaviour was exactly that of the European empires that preceded him - and now the U.S. empire. WE murder in the millions. The US has invaded more countries that either Hitler or the British Empire.
And most of it we do to satisfy greed
The U.S. tortured captives in the thousands. If Hitler had done it, we would get documentaries about the horror of it.
Belgium and now other western countries now plunder Congo. The people of Congo have been killed in their millions. They have been tortured. They have been enslaved. read much about it in your news? Canadian companies, especially mining companies, have been prominent in this. Seen anything about that in your news?

The U.S. organized the mass murder of 200,000 Maya in Guatemala. It didn't even make our news outlets.
It has plundered and enslaved and killed massively in South America. And we are getting sucked into fighting those wars of greed - as with aircraft in Libya, troops in Afghanistan, aircraft in Syria......
Where is the indignation?

There is no indignation for the same reason there was almost no criticism of those wars in the first place. We don't question it because, like the Naziis, we live on an altar of bigotry and racism.

We are NOT different from the Naziis. And we haven't been different for the last 500 years or so.

All our wars are fought, like Hitler's, to expand profits for our wealthy.

The British murdered on a grand scale in India and China, starving millions to death. Today, the U.S. is deliberately starving the civilians of Yemen to death. There are many, many millions at risk. Seen much about it on TV news?

But we don't see it for the same reason Germans didn't - propaganda and our own racism.
I know that sounds extreme. But that's the reality.
And I don't think our churches have anywhere to run and hide on this.
In my blog, The Decarie Report, I wrote one on an incident of this sort in which a Canadian lay missionary was murdered (along with many, many priests and nuns and 200,000 Maya. It never made the news. It's under the title "Sunday Sermon"

I'm starting to wonder if whoever Trump appoints has figured out that they just have to behave badly to get out of working with Trump.

Yes, I would imagine that many can't handle the responibility of working for the President of the United States of America.

So then, to be clear, you haven't reviewed the career of every American president. Got it.
I'm guessing you haven't either.
Still waiting for your answer to my last question to you in this thread, by the way.

I'm guessing you haven't either.

Indeed, I haven't. But then I'm not making statements such as, "I don't seem to recall ANY OTHER U.S. President having this much trouble retaining staff." and, "This presidency is not normal." either.

What question was that?

Post # 4706. You still don't know what OK means?

Do YOU recall any other President having such trouble keeping staff?

I didn't think so.

And the insults keep coming.

I do not recall that, no. That said, I believe that if we were to review every president there has ever been in America, we might very well find that President Trump is not the one and only who has faced some challenges.

'Faced some challenges', yes. But the high rate of people coming and going, and the total chaos resulting from it that has been exemplified by this presidency? Never.

You say "Never" but you have already said that you have not reviewed the career of every American president.

:coffee:

And you have?
I lived in the US through the administrations of all the Presidents from Eisenhower to Reagan. I also remember the presidencies since then. I defy you to show me any of them who had so much trouble keeping staff. Can you do it?

Didn't think so.
