A heartfelt thank you to all of you for the lovely comments and encouragement.
I have changed my picture here...... This is the new look for 2017.....
This is my own hair..... I have been growing it and preparing for this day since the beginning of September.
I am actually living!!! ... I mean really living!!!! ...... and finally there is that deep inner joy and peace growing...
I am on my way back ..... the direction is positive and bright.
Hugs and thank you to all of you for supporting me through a very intense and difficult time.
I have a long ways to go yet but now there is hope :)

Me, too, Rita; your hair is such a flattering shade of silver. Goes so nicely with your lovely pendant.

Your hair looks a lot better than my hair, Rita. Which admittedly isn't saying much. Glad that you're feeling so up and alive again!

You look great, isn't it interesting when we work with what we already own, it reflects positively on the outside too.

Hi, @RitaTG . You're looking great in that pic. And your upbeat tone reflects that pic, too. Hope life continues to improve for you.

I never watched Whose Line Is It Anyway? much but know Colin Mochrie from other roles over the years. One of this country's great comics. And now, courtesy of his daughter, a transgender advocate.

And I hadn't realized he was married to Deb McGrath, also a great funnyperson. (And I note that Wiki still gives their daughter's name as Leia rather than Kinley. The story of her name is part of the article above.)

Saw that, too. Given that they were still fighting allowing gay leaders up until this decade, this is a real leap forward for them.

Seems strange to me that they were fighting that long. My Cubs leader was a gay man - and that was a few decades ago. He was a great Akela.

A lot of the anti-homosexual Scout leadership left after the 2013 Boy Scouts decision to allow gay youth. They founded Trail Life USA. The girls already had a breakaway Christian group called "American Heritage Girls", created for much the same reasons.

With them gone, BSA are a different organization.
