Actually it's not okay to destroy anybody's life that's why proof is required that's why we have Justice and truth , only justice could be served through proof not through allegations because people's lives are on the line regardless of their gender

A principal character in the biblical narrative is the accuser, which is the interpretation of the Hebrew common noun "satan". Looking around we clearly see accusation on all sides. This indicates the advance of another biblical principal, the divider. This from the Greek diabolos, which is rendered in English as devil. We are being divided as we declare ourselves on this or that side of any human concern.

I would encourage a turning away from the media world and an embrace of face to face community conversation concerned with pending implications of the political madness now underway. Both Socrates and Jesus insist on hearing from the person they are engaging in dialogue. Third party perspective is distracting and avoids many primary ethical concerns for any person as a citizen in a democracy.

Each of us and all of us have opportunity to seek and follow truth. Sad to say the majority of us are content to avoid the emerging dilemma by resort to diversion and distraction. This notable among those who worship Jesus but have no interest in following in his way. The preference being for the way of this world. Why shouldn't God's kids have the best of everything?

The masses are being played by the media. Withdraw by adopting a dedicated and disciplined personal and communal concern with where we were, where we are, and where we want to go. ​

You turn off your television and visit places like InfoWars online. That's like taking a principled stand against using Wikipedia for a school project and citing your crazy uncle instead.

You can't follow a trail without walking into trees. You have historically forced connections that you wanted to make when no one else could see them, and in fact gave you better reasons why they weren't connections. You will follow people you agree with despite lack of evidence, and from my perspective, your faith has conditioned you to ignore good evidence you don't like for bad or no evidence that fits your preferred conspiracy du jour.

I'm all for following the money. There are connections for which evidence exists, like the Russian connections to Trump, the NRA, and the Republican Party. I'm concerned that you've abandoned flawed sources for absolute propaganda and it's rotting your brain, and that this process started with faith and is simply spreading to politics.

And yet Dr Ford is getting death threats.

I think Mr Kavanaugh could have responded to this better. I absolutely understand that this would be stressful for him. At the same time, a person his age and stature can be expected to respond in a more mature fashion. I also believe a man can act like a turkey as a young man and can change.

I wish this situation could be an opportunity for discussion instead of blaming and name calling.

The man destroyed his own fitness during his own testimony time. Blaming the allegations on the Clintons and an organized plan which would have been put into operation some 35 years ago requiring spectacular foreknowledge.

But have no fear the Republican majority paid no attention to the claims of any woman making any claim about impropriety.

Are you as enraged by their attempts to destroy a woman's reputation? Any idea why they would need to bring in a woman to ask the questions of a woman?
 
This is not about Kavanaugh, but related to the topic of political men with power. Just, ew, ick...gross, cringey...the narcissism is palpable...and iwouldn’t be at all surprised if every woman has met a guy like this at some point...and why is it so many of them get into powerful jobs?

I could just feel how the interviewer must’ve felt, trying to do her JOB. Like, “Go home and take a cold shower you horny moron. Why do have have to put up with you today, creep? Why?...well, because you’re some politician and I am being paid to help you look good, and if I tell you where to go I’ll lose my job. That’s why.”

This is a judge who, during a gruelling job interview in front of a subset of senators who were obviously against his nomination, chose to push an evidence-free conspiracy theory to explain away the testimony of an accomplished woman who recounted a sexual assault in front of other hostile senators, disturbing her relatively stable and conflict-free life. Either she saw her attacker about to be confirmed as one of the most powerful and influential people in the world for life and decided to speak up, or she's lying for...what reason? Kavanaugh gets rejected and another conservative judge gets appointed? Or I suppose maybe Susan Collins is right and she just misremembered who pinned her down and tried to get her clothes off. I remember 1982 enough to tell you who punched me at school around that time, and I was younger than Blasey Ford. A lot of us are in that age ballpark. What memorable thing happened to you that year? Could you be mistaken about the people who did something terrible to you because they sorta looked like someone else in school?

Then there's either the lying, or maybe a "Devil's Triangle" really is a drinking game and not a threesome with two men and one woman. And maybe "Renate Alumnius" is just a group of friends and not a boastful inside joke about classmate Renate Dolphin.

Nothing here passes the sniff test. And for a job interview, when you're down to one candidate you're looking for reasons not to hire. That's why references are called: Looking for red flags. If Kavanaugh is passed over, he is still a federal judge. This was never a trial - it was a job interview. And if any of us pushed a conspiracy theory in a job interview and lied about our conduct in school, we couldn't land our current jobs. Never mind land on the supreme court.

I would like to see any man separate his emotions when he's being accused of a crime that he did not commit the only man I ever see able to separate his emotions and go quietly while his enemies accused him was Jesus I've never met anybody since
And the Dems I know that this emotional manipulation will work.

He was reading off of prepared statements. He intended to be dramatic, and he sure was. But that doesn’t look good for a judge.


Hypothetical: Suppose, for a moment, he is SC judge (which he is). Say the Ford thing wasn’t an issue, but there was some other major turmoil in his life. His wife leaves him for a better guy, let’s say. And his personal world is turned upside down but he still has to try major cases in court. This is a guy who likes to drink beer a lot and is obviously emotional when he feels slighted. Maybe that’s when he drinks...he wouldn’t answer questions very clearly about how much and how often he drinks beer but that was definitely a major point he made. He likes beer, he drinks beer, and there have been times when he’s had a lot of beer...he likes beer...not many employers will want to hire a person who goes on about liking beer so much unless it’s an interview for a brewery. It was ridiculous how long a point he made about beer...in a hearing for a SC job!! How can he be making proper judicial decisions? Not being appointed SC judge would not ruin his life. It would just mean he would not get that job.
