That the Republicans did not drop him and move onto another Republican pick suggests that they don't have that deep a well of individuals to choose from.
I think it’s because Trump wants him because of his views on prosecuting a sitting (or maybe even former) president, and because he represents the same kind of boys club misogyny that Trump does. And everybody, most if not all the Republican senators who voted yes, are probably in some big lobbiest/ donor’s debt. It’s the dark money...most likely a big part of the reason. This puzzles me, as well. I think their well is plenty deep. Why pick him? Why stick with him?

Absolutely outrageous behavior for any president.
Had the news on and at some point there were 2 Americans discussing this on a Canadian channel. Referring to suburban women voters.Read an article the other day focusing on how Trump has become a master of who is to be thought of as the victim.
In this situation, men are now the victims according to him....not the women.
Americans are the victims of terrorism caused by immigrants and so on and so on.....
While it is a concern, percentage wise, there is less chance of a false accusation towards a man than there is for a woman being sexually assaulted.Had the news on and at some point there were 2 Americans discussing this on a Canadian channel. Referring to suburban women voters.
Arguing if this could be off-putting to them, or because they have sons, brothers, husbands etc. they have concerns how their actions might affect their careers.
If you're concerned about the men in your life being accused of rape of sexual assault and how that could affect their careers or other aspects, I think there is a big issue with how the men in your life are being raised.
Where's "Dave" when you need him, a fair minded doppleganger may work nicely, lol?Yep, and yet his supporters and much of the Republican base will happily vote for him in 2020 so the Dems really, really need to up their game and put out a candidate who can both fire up their base and also pull in the swing votes. Otherwise, he wins by default.

They need someone to rise to the occasion.
(4) When in a discussion about the biggest advantage Canada has over the USA, I always say that the US needs a viable 3rd party like the NDP to encourage more civil political discourse. Many Americans accept all the Dems' criticisms of Trump, but still support him simply because they loathe the Dems even more. We desperately need a viable 3rd party option!
