Thoughts on the Emergence of a Core Consensus

Sister, IIRC. She's mentioned it before but not often so I guess you've missed it.

And @monk, sorry I forgot this affects two of you. I tend to forget about your relationship to George as well. My wishes go equally to you.

Thank you Mendalla. I never realized @monk and @GeoFee are related. Makes a lot of sense though.

Thank you all,

Mum is in a stable but critical condition. She is well loved in her home town and the nurses at the hospital are devoted to her care. Mum is speaking and she has us chuckling at her wit. Tests today indicate a severe stroke with substantial damage. It seems unlikely that she will return to her home.

Both sis and I appreciate the encouraging voices of this place. We are testy to be sure. Still you seem able to put up with us. Sometimes even appreciating our insights and commitments. Our practice of care comes from mum. Our passion for setting things right comes from dad.

With great gratitude I am able to say that Barbara appears to be out of the woods. All her vital signs are in the acceptable range. She is diligent regarding diet and exercise.

Will stay in touch lightly as the days move us forward.

George

I love this image and the photo.

@monk - my heart is with you too - did not realize you and Geofee share that divine connection.

Glad to read that mom is able to communicate ... a gift for sure at this time. Blessings all.

There is this old comment by a sage that states honour thy father and thy mother ... too bad when it comes to idealisms we often lean towards the brute forces ... by God could this be if it weren't for the alternate threshold?

Oh ... scales ... balance ...

Hi,

Have had a couple of very nice days. Lots of family contact. Remembering stories of days gone by. Appreciating the influence mother had in the formation of our distinctive characters. While each of us is very different, at the core there is the ubiquitous presence of kindness.

Here is my key reason for letting go of "core consensus":
maybe we want to eschew the language of the boardroom for something more befitting of a community like a common vision
This has had me thinking:
While gathered for a common conversation they were identified as disciples. It isn't until they were sent out that they became identified as Apostles.
A good clarification of my ambiguous comparison of our experience here the experience of the apostles. Rethinking leads me to say we are persons in diverse locations, with diverse perspectives and diverse reasons for being here. This makes us more like the folk who were gathered into the way of life by a persuasive witness. Over time their divisive disparity being eclipsed by a unitive solidarity. That solidarity producing effective public witness.

Here is a phrase I have valued for a good number of years: "Diversity is giving birth to a word and it will be expressed as unity."

Had lunch at a pub yesterday with two renegade believers in the field of science, scepticism and disbelief in a fixed idealism (know'stick god) under which umbrella they were ordinance-'d! Their weapons ... new and missive words from the unknown and unspeakable surroundings (the environment)? A flowing comprehension ...

Tis a cyclic thing like the divine ... a bi-cycle that comes back at yah no matter what ... like two wheels of easy Kills Chariot. As one ages one ponders how we got run over so many times by determinate hard cases ... providing a view from the other side of the wheels rim ... abstract edge in the myth?

Some say the myth paints the rim as a dark horse in the running ... this is mentioned in the Red Haired Stranger that you can shift genre ... and have to same outcome ... someone is knocked out by excess passion? Thus they imagine alternate states ... counterintelligence?

Then some pubs have peanut shells all over the floor to soak up all the tears from them in the cups ... brassiere? A place with tin ears for reflection ... or possibly Gabrielle with a horn ... reserved for the blind and deaf of spirit of sol ... terrible spot to be in ... unless you've arranged for a friend after the last Dan's ... in Celtic regions this is danous ... a peculiar word that could be a dingo down under ... and thus dog the AD (overhead)!

So much to learn from aboriginal word ... like from the Shamsis and Chamois ... polish-d'type people with a shine for the unknown god ... in Nordic realm denied Samis! There's even an unknown connection between haida gai and Kamchatka ... some fixed Christian scientist would deny any unknowns ...

Resolution: don't tell the authorities anything that they believe would corrupt institution and stability ... allow them their own Sur prizes with the nemesis ... that come down defined by "v" ... sometimes representing the partisan psyche ... a downer once you conjure it ... conjugation?

Could be for amu-sing powers beyond us ... that faint hmmmm-ing ... 4 degrees absolute ... then the two alternates ... judgemental Joyce of judgement ... a Jam !

And in the cat's wake stinking frustration?

Demonym ... an alternate to synonyms from the state of mind? We couldn't have things of soul in reality ... could we?
These could cause butterfly effects ... metamorphosis ... change, alteration and all that dizzying crap, verti goose!

Denomym as a word for people from a far away spot:
--- a proper noun used to denote the natives or inhabitants of a particular country, state, city, etc
Could such things be synthesized? Far from how many people would digest and process thoughts!

Words ... damned as god's offering ... tis a grace (a' given)! What can one take from that?

Normally; not much ... thus lighter thoughts are almost ethereal ... kind of out of reach of the heavier hands ...

WC2 creates disciples in the sharing of the common human experience

not that we in all things that we all have 2 share all the same values, filters, BS, semantic gloss, reality tunnels, overton windows, advantages, disadvantages, vantages...

not all systems of governance etc will allow 4 the above; some still don't believe that people should b allowed to believe what they want to...

so here we are, arriving at this point organically, evolutionarily, naturally; those who didn't fit in left (they were maladapted to our environment). our various ideas competed, naturally, (with a few hiccups along the way)

we r all unique snowflakes

Some of us out in the kohl Eire chilly Eire as encountered to the west of English Midlands ... scary Celts and best of the Pix ...

Dot Terres ... pillars of eL? That's where they dropped ...

Hi,

It has been a good week of remembering and celebrating mum. This carried over into Sunday morning. The talk below begins with some indications of who mother was and how she inspired and encouraged me and my siblings. It goes on to notice that in the Biblical tradition woman play a key role in the renewing of human hope where times seem set to come undone through the abuse of power. Then suggests that Jesus was more like a mother than a father in his day. Not one who wanted to be served but one who wanted to serve. Here are my out loud thoughts:

Hi,

Soon two weeks since mum's stroke. She has been admitted to rehab in Steinbach. A place where she will get good care. She is sitting up and working at eating solid food. A challenge with her left side fully incapacitated. Her spirit is positive and her memory and voice are working well. Seems there is a small window of hope for recovery of some personal resources and abilities. With appreciation of support from all our relations.

George
