QUOTE="Kimmio, post: 288378, member: 129"] So funny...I got a selfie app (free trial) called Face App. The AI dramatically changes faces - and can change the gender look of faces, too.. I found the best simple regular photo of me...taken about a year ago, bangs already hiding a few wrinkles...and AI made me look like a flawless feminine model - if only I was a makeup artist - and the male version of me is a pretty good looking guy - something like a cross between Brad Pitt and Ryan Reynolds.
That is strange to see. It also ages faces, which freaked me out.
My mom as "young" looks just like she did in her 20s, very pretty and mod looking. My step dad looks charming, like old photos of him, and my dad looks exactly like my 1/2 brother now. So weird. I don't think I want to post them, but try it yourself if you're brave.
One thing I noticed is that the "Hollywood" versions of the men are not much different - just a tad highlighted - but the Hollywood versions of women have a lot of makeup on. Which means AI doesn't think the women look pretty much fine as they are.[/QUOTE]
Just you wait till Augmented Reality glasses become ubiquitous...then everyone will b able to see the filter they want to use :3
So like your experiences above, but with everyone.
People seeing everything as a Czech cartoon or a Noir film or in Urdu or everyone naked or everyone jewish infants or everyone in drag or everyone as African-American or everyone as Lesbian Furry Interpretive Dancers or...
More help in realizing just how much of identity truly is fluid and changable and a social construct...
It'll b glorious
Backwardly forward,
Inannawhimsey
Ps. I've had a lot of fun with some of those apps, taking my face and making it look even weirder than normal :3 when I turn on the masculine filter it makes me look like I have some kind of face cancer or whatnot lol
