When will you be starting to show more compassion, concern for the poor and more Christ-like behaviour?

Thank you for your reply, Mendalla. However, I think that it's to your eye, in your experience, makes it subjective rather than objective. Same would be true no matter who was doing the seeing and the experiencing. Imho, what stops most Roman Catholics from being Christians is that they don't hold to faith in Christ alone
I base it on facts, not on an opinion about the RCs. So a subjective opinion but based on objective knowledge. And who else do they hold to faith in? Last I checked, even the Pope is human and subordinate to the Trinitarian God, in particular Christ. That's what Vicar of Christ means, that he is Christ's representative on Earth. Ditto Mary and the saints. They are not literally worshipped, but seen as paths to God/Christ and ordained to that role by Christ.

Not who, Mendalla, but what. Most of them try to add works into what's required for their salvation

I see no evidence from your behaviour here to believe such acts exist.
Who set you up as haughty judge to presume without evidence how I spend my private time?
If I laid out my acts of compassion, a toxic poster of your ilk would deem me boastful and arrogant. So unlike you, I'm content to let God be the Judge.
So what you need to hear is that what I do with my private time is none of your business.

I have zero desire to know what you do with your private time.

That's a crude and ignorant caricature. As a former pastor and theology professor at a Catholic university for 12 years, I see that their "works" are pure acts of compassion and an effort to pursue f social justice rather than your biased view that they are simply trying to earn brownie points with God.
As I said, I have successfully sued them, but someone on this site needs to offer a balanced view of a complex and varied denomination.

Okay, Mystic. Last time I checked, acts are works. Their acts include more than just what you say here, too. They also include participation in the sacraments

So now you admit that your anti-Catholic judgment of Catholic "works" was unbalanced. As for the sacraments, in my experience Catholics revere the intimate connection with Christ they enjoy during the Eucharist more than most Evangelicals, of which I am one.

You can choose to see things that way if you want to.

Again, thank you for your opinion

(7) JESUS USE OF "WOMAN" AS A SYMBOL OF GOD:

Though Jesus celebrates His intimate connection with God as His "Abba Father," He still gives woman a relatable image of God as Woman, for example, in His Parable of the Woman and the Lost Coin (Luke 15:8-10--something that would have shocked His judgmental contemporaries.
This provided the early church with precedent to take advantage of the feminine gender of "Spirit" ("ruach" in Hebrew and Syriac) as a pretext to honor a feminine leadership role: "The deaconess should be honored by you as the image of the Holy Spirit (Syriac Didaskalia--3rd century)."

Oh, and just to refresh your memory - you're not my pastor, you're not my professor, I wasn't handing in an academic paper to you, and this isn't a Catholic university
