How would you do this? Say different prayers maybe?
Going by what you said at 11:04 AM today (I guess that's KST) I'd edit my statement to: One can use a rosary without praying to Mary, without praying to the saints in heaven. Sure, it's all about what prayers one chooses to make

Now Jae your grasping at straws ----trying to make it right and it is not right Jae ---it is repetitive praying also which God says not to do

Feel rather that the statement that one's use of a rosary must include praying to Mary and the saints in heaven sounds foolish.

A video on the Lutheran Rosary - which doesn't necessitate praying to Mary and the saints...

Lutheran Rosary

The final line of the Lord's Prayer as we know it does not appear in Matthew 6 or Luke 11.

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Nor is it in the (Catholic) Our Father.

Now you've got me curious. Where did it come from? I mean, I knew it was not in the original text but had kind of assumed that it was a Catholic interpolation. Or do they use it in other contexts, just not in saying the "Our Father" on the Rosary?

I don't think they use it at all but leave it with me. I will ask an RC family member.

BTW, when I say "Catholic interpolation", I am thinking like very old, maybe medieval or earlier. Now I am wondering, though. Is it actually Protestant, so maybe 500 years tops? I can't see an Orthodox interpolation being that popular in the West so surely it dates to one of the early church, RCs, or Protestant Reformation.

My Catholic sister-in-law said she is familiar with the line but this might be from secular settings, Protestant funerals or the like. She didn't know the answer to my question so she is going to do a bit of digging.

Snoopy plans to examine the Matthew text verse by verse (or so) but we'll wait until the topic of the final line wraps up.

Here is another thing wrong with True Christians praying the Lords Prayer ---

Thy Kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven ----

Jesus is alive here so by saying this before Jesus dies you are praying for His Kingdom that is about to come on this earth -----which is the indwelling of Christ in the believer -----

God's kingdom has come on earth by and through Jesus shedding His Blood --dying and being resurrected --- so again fruitless and pointless statement being said in the Lords Prayer ---praying for the Kingdom to come ----when it is here now for people to receive -----by their own choice ----

Another line fruitless and pointless in this prayer now ----give us our daily bread -----

Jesus is our daily bread and Jesus is alive and well to feed us our daily bread ---so praying this is again is pointless ---for both believers and non believers

The daily bread has already been supplied ---so asking for the daily Bread to be given in this prayer is pointless ----

Greek word for Bread

HELPS word-Studies
740 ártos – properly, bread; (figuratively) divine provision; all the sustenance God supplies to yielded believers scene-by-scene to live in His preferred-will (2307 /thélēma).

And as Far as all these Human made up beads repetitious prayers goes --they are fruitless and pointless and they go against what God says in His word about repeating Repetitive words over and over ----

This what they are saying here in this Article ---is definitely Idolatry as they are putting the Beads above Jesus -----

No where in this piece do they mention Jesus who is the only one who can bring the Holy Spirit to be near and indwell the person -----

They are referring to the Prayer Beads that they bring you closer to the Holy Spirit --not Jesus and this is Idolatry ----which is very bad and won't help you get to Heaven Folks

Real Clear Catholic -----Read for yourselves --I just posted this part

From a spiritual perspective, using prayer beads allows the Holy Spirit to pray through us when we don’t know what to pray for, or how we should pray. We can offer our prayer-bead devotion for a specific intention or cause, then simply go into the prayers while focusing on God himself. This time that is spent in prayerful devotion, without focusing on how to say things, allows the Holy Spirit to assist our prayers in ways that surpass our understanding (Romans 8:26-27). This draws us into a deeper relationship with God, sometimes without us even realizing it, which can have the benefit of giving us a greater sense of peace with God and his plan for us, even if we don’t know what that is.

I say -----This first sentence is False Doctrine and Idolatry ------

From a spiritual perspective, using prayer beads allows the Holy Spirit to pray through us when we don’t know what to pray for, or how we should pray.

I say ------so what they have done here is taken this Scripture ----and twisted it to suit they need to sell their False Doctrine ---making praying the beads-------their God ----the beads bring the Holy Spirit to help them pray ---not Jesus ----

Crazy stuff and people are buying into this False Idolatry they are peddling ------wouldn't want to be them when they die and bow before God -------

Romans 8:26 -27 AMP

Our Victory in Christ

26;In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words.

27;And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because the Spirit intercedes [before God] on behalf of God’s people in accordance with God’s will.

This is what Religious People do they take the Scripture and twist it to say what they want it to say ----

The only way to have the Holy Spirit come near your is by receiving Jesus in our Hearts not holding prayer beads -----Folks ----I say Run Forest Run from all this False Doctrine -----

Here's a link to a good article about the Lord's Prayer.

It tells us the final line of our Lord's Prayer originated in the Didache and forms a doxology. It was added by Eastern Rite and Protestant churches (after the Reformation) to the text from Matthew. Pope Francis has authorized the wording for use in mass. Doesn't seem like the Our Father of the Rosary has changed.
