Entire nursing homes are wiped out, along with most of their workers. The government needs to do some "mass grave work" to cope with the bodies. You're free to see your loved one as they lay dying, and then you can bring home the disease and wipe out a bunch more of your family. But you can't escape, because all flights/transport in and out of Canada have been cancelled, because we're now the pandemic epicentre.

Based on scientific and real time evidence to date ... your model has already been proven falsifiable and it is time to stop the insanity not support it.
 
Tell that to our civilization approaching total collapse. While the pandemic is serious other forces are also in play. These are the principalities and powers that govern our age. Their concern is only for the increase of power and profit. They have no regard for the increasing populations separated from economic security. Nor are they considerate of the sick and dying. Which we will see more of as the days lead us forward.
 
After reading numerous posts from you, GeoFee and Ritafee, I have to confess I'm far more interested in your upbringing and early family life than anything you have to say (repeat) on the pandemic, state and church influence, etc. etc........
 
When the unrelenting power encounter the essentially unmovable ... what happens?

In one perspective it is said everything ... considering God is everything ... is there an eternal incident?

Beyond that ... us in the middle ... it is a thin observation through the veil ... for the extremists do not care for the the meddling ...

We may be like the black bird ... j' escrowed ...

No end tuit from this perspective! Thus the taught logical repetition trying to drive something ... homers?

It is said someone has to win in a conflicting social order ... without cooperation ... thus republicans vs demos 've us ... in virtue of reality!

Speak not loudly for the powerful commonwealth will mistake it force laughter ... S' laughterhouse 5?

Father was the State (do as I say not as I do) and Mother was the Church (do as I do not as I say).

To go free, all John Bunyan had to do was make one promise. He must agree not to preach publicly anymore. Bunyan's reply: "If I was out of prison today, I would preach the gospel again tomorrow by the help of God."

For political reasons, Charles II released a number of prisoners. Bunyan was not among them. He was told he would have to apply for a pardon. He refused. To do so would be to admit he had done wrong. Elizabeth, his wife, pleaded for his release, but sympathetic court officers said John could go free only if he complied with the authorities. So John remained in prison. He was cheerful, believing he suffered for Christ. He had true freedom, he said. In prison, he could read the Bible, preach and sing hymns with no one to stop him. He was also allowed to write. While imprisoned he completed many of his sixty books, including the best known: The Pilgrim's Progress.

When I first joined the original Wondercafe there was already a Pilgrim - the name I wanted to choose.

When it comes to faith matters I see myself as a pilgrim, because, for me, faith is an ongoing journey.....

It was then I remembered that I had once read Pilgrims Progress - so settled for that avatar .

Since those days I've seen how social media has become a very angry space. Also simplistic - for or against - nuance not much in evidence.
These days I would use my own name - as in Facebook - as a reminder that there is another human being at the end of what I post.

On another board, I have a 4 appended to my username (not Mendalla, I use a different name there) because the username, and 1, 2, and 3 were already taken. None of them were even active at the time I joined or since, but taken nonetheless.

Rita is right about the difference between father and mother. Father was the Law and mother was Grace. Thank God mother's influence was deeply rooted and over time Father's influence declined. I am encouraged in this as the Bible regularly presents various women as the way opening to new life. This rooted in their acceptance of God's presence and determination.

Another key point in my development was my Friesian birth. The national motto of the Friesian people is "Freedom is the highest law." This concept is deeply rooted in my being. From adolescence I have refused conformity to the patterns of power. This got me kicked out of school before I was fifteen. From there I set off on an adventure of learning. This by living on the road with no income and no home. This brought me much insight concerning the meaning of human being and its lostness in error. It also inspired me to pursue the prophetic vocation. Studying and praying has led me to the place where I now am. I do not say I am fully mature spiritually. but I am well on the way.

In my young adult years I was very angry concerning the way of the world. This anger has gone away and left sorrow in its place. I now realize that anger can be a hiding place for sorrow. Letting sorrow rise has brought me forward along the way of compassion. This is expressed in my consistent advocacy for the poor and the broken. Such advocacy has led me on various occasions to be arrested and jailed. It has also placed me outside institutional norms of both Church and State.

I am well aware that following Jesus in spirit and truth will lead to rejection by the powers governing the earth in service to profit and power. It will also lead to rejection by persons who have no interest in hearing of the danger waiting in the wings as we go faster and faster along the way of progress. This motivated by the modern desire to overcome nature and establish the works of our own hands as the norm.

Rita and I are not unkind persons. We are persons longing for the waking of consciousness in the population and hoping for the ending of exploitation and oppression by the powers. Which is, in essence, the message of the prophets in all times and places. Sad to say they were mostly ignored. When they could not be ignored they were imprisoned and often sentenced to death. We see this clearly in the life and times of Jesus.

We have a choice which we must make. Either we will serve the way of life or we will serve the way of death. Sad to watch as the principalities and powers destroy the earth and its peoples. All while the great majority have no desire to know what is actually going on in and around them.

I will leave it there for the moment.
 
Freedom of the highest order ... from the urge towards naivete ... which may be translated to a desire to be ignorant under the indoctrinated guideline: "you don't want to know that!" Thus the slippery aspect of sliding down that side ...

Is there more? Bet upon it! Deduction can take some things away ... while induction is opposed ... just words!
 
I think both Rita and George have good intentions and are kind at heart. I have met George in person. He is kind. We had a good talk.

One has to have their facts straight to know what they're up against, though. Rita often doesn't. The crowd she's been following online but won't admit she's following a misinformed crowd, doesn't. She has been pulled down the anti facts/ alternative facts far right rabbit hole too many times - there's a lot of evil misinformation there on purpose - and then she ends up jousting at windmills while missing real problems.

Future historians will look back on this time with the same sense of horror we feel today about medical and social engineering atrocities of the past — such as eugenics, forced lobotomies and medical experimentation on undesirables.

Because I don't think they will. I think history will agree that C7 in Canada went in the wrong direction, and hopefully got fixed.

I think that history will view this pandemic very like they viewed the Spanish Flu of 1917-18, as a forced (by Gaia) instruction in trying to work together globally, as a species, towards the common good.

I don't follow the crowd as a general rule ... I try to discern from a variety of sources available ... you yourself should understand this in your pursuit of the truth around MAID. It does not come from the MSM ... you are adament that there is an agenda in play ... and you are right as far as I can discern. I do not self censor who I can or cannot take information from ... research is research after all ... it is not bias confirmation. If I had my druthers I would like it to be all truth and light ... unfortunately ignoring the lies and darkness ... does not make them go away. I search for it in hopes of bringing it to the light ... if one refuses to look at what we are dealing with ... as in the full picture of MAID that you are so prone to bringing into exposure ... how is that received by the 'crowd' that does not want to look at it in all of it's context? Why keep digging up more and more evidence that you are 'right'?

They've used well establish infection control measures as part of this "experiment". I'm thankful your suggestions on how to respond have not been implemented. That would have been a social experiment too, and one that would have caused more problems.
