If the poor have no capital ... consider the dissonance among the richest capitalist over this matter that they consider socialistic and thus quickly dash off into the anti socialism umber Ella ... umber being a burnt dirt scheme with dark over tones of appalling diversion from assisting the folk that are strangely stripped of what ever they carried ...

Does this make capital light, or just more baggage in essence once departure is laid upon the singularity? (monotone MU singing the same ole 's Torah about cajonist)? It was at one time considered a baulk, or box of wood like a water closet ... where the Thinker was later confined. Earlier the Roman Toilets were public domain ... and we wonder if these folk will wash!

plus if the globe is going to have an ecognomic reset, which is one of the explanations for the global shenannigans...
 
Canadian tax law does not tax capital gains on primary residences. A house with no streets or utilities connecting to it has little value most of the time. When a person buys a residence, they are also purchasing membership in the community where the residence is. Taxes are dues paid to cover the costs of maintaining the community.

How can a person "own" a piece of land that was here millions of years before they were born and will be still there millions of years later in the sense implied by the author? Without community, possession would be almost impossible in a practical sense. Ownership is strictly an imaginary concept without membership in a society that shares that concept. Palestinians owned all the land in the West Bank but that ownership is not accepted by Israel.They have a different concept.

I've been on both sides, renting and owning. Both have their pluses and minuses. People need to pick what works best for their life.

What you are describing is property tax, not capital gains tax. And that is based on the assessed value of the property and the cost to the community of community services like streets, water, library, fire, police, etc. There are no exemptions or inclusion rates save, in some provinces, for churches.

Capital gains is federal income tax and only a tiny portion of that goes back to the local community. Most goes into national level programs or goes to the provinces in transfers.
 
There is a faction of the populace that hates federalism ... but where do they go for support outside the provincial?

Some believe that is so provinciale and rural ... kind 've out there to the citified group ... but they can't seem to get it together ... even though that fringe provides a large feed ... like Oli 've of ole ... related to fatty acids!
