spring has sprung, the grass has riz...and here are the birdies

Nice. Nearest swans to me are Springbank Park. We get down there a few times every summer.

Apparently the First Two Trumpeter Swans left a 5 star review and now 9 more arrived today!

Cool. I am working on my deck. So far I've seen probably half a dozen different species of bird (mostly robins), my chipmunk "tenant" (nests under a deck box on my deck), squirrels, and a bunny.

I guess they are more abundant than they once were. I saw a pair at the head of the nearby inlet when I was on N Van Island a long time ago...unexpected beauty and really rare to see them back then.
Tundra swans passed through here in March on their way to the High Arctic.
