spring has sprung, the grass has riz...and here are the birdies

Mum and dad robin are feeding 3 largish and extremely hungry fledglings -- beaks wide open, outside my door. I tried to get a picture, but mum was giving me the stink eye so I backed off.

Mum and dad robin are feeding 3 largish and extremely hungry fledglings -- beaks wide open, outside my door. I tried to get a picture, but mum was giving me the stink eye so I backed off.

I don't seem to have any nests around this year, not that I have noticed yet. Then again, one year there was one right over the deck and we only found it when we saw a puddle of droppings forming on the deck. We discovered we could see the nest from our son's former bedroom and they were just about to fledge. Now that room is my office so any nests in that tree tend to get noticed.
