Good morning! This day we thing of family meals, of rug hooking, and many other themes of discussion. We bring it to the Coffee Cart, where we gather in spirit for conversation and mutual support, and hot beverages of all kinds. The coffee is perked, the tea water is hot, come on in and join the conversations!

Brrrr. The mornings are chilly but it gets nice by afternoon. Tomorrow, I will be at the riverside...watching my son try to launch his pumpkin boat. Double brrr and a few other emotions to boot.

Here's hoping wet suits and life jackets are involved. Sounds kind of nuts to me. Fun, but nuts.

Grey here with periods of rain in the forecast. Tomorrow isn't looking much better but there's at least a chance the sun might peek through.

Quiet weekend here, though. Nothing too exciting in the offing.

My thoughts too. Along with a mother's worry. This is the kid who got into bodybuilding, strong man competitions, and is currently an entrepreneur for three companies he is trying to get going. In some of my thoughts...the world would be a better place if people grew pumpkins and indulged in silly challenges rather than trying to kill one another. My son might be a tad nuts, but the world is much nuttier.

Nuts ... a condition Patsy Cline sang about. Do you know the understanding of the word Kline ... or just not inclined that way?

Thus things go down as humble in history ... myths are something else ... especially about great poem kins ... chimera and alchemy!

Relativity is often exorcised ... or incest causes problems. Leads to alien sects ...

For sure. I enjoy a bit of nuttiness now and then.

Mine has been working out for a year or two but I don't think he's that serious about it, just kind of a thing he is doing rather than just exercising to stay in shape like we do.

Good morning. We're in Kamloops. Four hours from the ferry. Today will be a shorter day and will start with breakfast with friends at White Spot. Then mountain passes and the Lower Mainland. No reservations for the ferry since it's just the truck now.

We had a great visit with friends last night. Sadly there's a cancer diagnosis there. Hopefully the surgery got it and radiation will make sure it's gone.

On the road again after breakfast with friends and drunken GPS taking us astray. We've never had an issue getting through Kamloops. Anyway, we got it sorted out and are headed home. ETA to the ferry about 3.5 hours

Haha...interesting image of a drunken GPS. Glad you are back on track.
Speaking about bodybuilding....My mom and I attended one of my son's competitions, and there was a break in the middle of it. We went out to stretch our legs and when it was time to re-find our seats, we ended up walking into the auditorium right behind a parade of bodybuilders. It sort of made me laugh...two little old ladies following these buff/strutting/super tanned guys. I wanted to laugh and wondered if anyone else saw the humour in it...but...I've come to the conclusion that bodybuilders aren't big on humour!

We made it to Tsawwassen. We've had a nice meal with a glass of wine, a visit to the Lindt store and are now sitting in the ferry lineup. We'll be home by around 8 if all goes according to plan.

I found that Tsawwassen particularly screwed up GoogleMaps. Apparently, it is because parts of it are below sea level, and Google hates below sea level.

When you enter the terminal area the signs say to follow the signs not your GPS. I suspect there have been incidents. I know that our GPS (on previous trips) would have taken us somewhere weird like to the spot foot passengers leave the terminal. It is well signed so there is no need for a GPS once you get to a certain point. That being said, the tired driver of this truck wanted to take us to downtown Tsawwassen tonight. His lovely navigator asked where he was going and we got back on track. The tired navigator was caught off guard for the record.

Good morning! Hope that the pumpkin boating goes well, grateful that travelers can overcome GPS systems that have been imbibing. Bodybuilding and exercise, etc. , and all the other things that go on around us and in us, we bring to the Coffee Cart for conversation and support, camaraderie and hot beverages. All is ready, come join in!

We made it home safe and sound last night. The rain took a break while we unloaded the truck. It was wonderful to sit in the comfy recliner in front of the infrared fireplace. It was especially nice to be back in our own bed.

We got front row seating on the ferry last night and were first off the boat. That was cool.

Cool. I have not taken a ferry in a while. We took ferries to and from Ireland on our tour of the UK in 2019 but that was the tour bus, not our own vehicle. Last time with our own vehicle, I am not even sure of. Maybe when we went to PEI on our honeymoon (the bridge started construction like a month later)?
