That can actually be removed. It's entirely configurable by us and we decided to implement it a long way back. Whether we want to is another matter. We could discuss in News & Business if there is interest.

Apparently, this is the last day of our heat wave. Supposed to get stormy later today, then cooler tomorrow. One week until vacation (I am off work from Monday but we don't fly out until Thursday).
 
Good morning. I just checked my portal and see the appointment at the wrong hospital has been removed. Now to see what happens next. In my experience, the booking clerks at "my" hospital are friendly and will do their best to fit it in on the same day as my bone scan.

We turned on the AC yesterday evening then turned it off at bedtime. It got above 30 here yesterday. Apparently we'll have heat for a few days at least. Today will be a short hike with friends.

For medical appointments re-arranged, for censoring of certain words, and for all the other stuff that will emerge today, we are here for it all. The Coffee Cart is ready, fresh perked coffee and piping hot tea water are at hand. Come and join us.
(Question of the day: Why is 'fornicate' an OK word, but 'f***', which means the same thing, is taboo?)

Then there is the enigma of birthdays when phoque arrive here naked and prone to all virtue that comes their way ... they suffer hardening in time and can reject fresh thoughts. Then there are cracked vessels ... das da bote and how thoughts are kicked as a habit ... deep in the head man is this dark stormy night ... Skye? Where experiences are dumped as djinns ... so we don't know on the average medium ... not knowing anything appears preferred thus some don't like speaking of initiation Dais ... stunning! Many thoughts thus depart ...
 
What a day! I'm tired because we went on a hike yesterday. It's a trail we know. It was harder because some of the trail had been washed out by the creek and there were trees across parts of the trail, so we had some scrambling as well as walking. I managed and my fatigue will be fixed by puttering around the house and spending time with my nose in a book.

My appointment woes continued today. The appointment at the wrong hospital showed up on my portal today after it had been deleted. I was pissed. I called the referral source and she transferred me to the booking department. I left a very assertive and still professional message for them. It was clear I was angry and that I did not want to go to the other hospital. My message was transferred to a manager who phoned me. We had a good chat and both had a better understanding of what was happening. She also decided to change the alert to say I lived in the city where the preferred hospital is. I just looked at my portal and the CT has been booked on the same day as my bone scan in the right hospital. A well placed and articulated vent pays off. Oh and I told her that a significant reason that I don't want to go to the other hospital is that they diagnosed my sister with Bell's Palsy when she was having a stroke. That does nothing for trusting an imaging department and it is important to have some trust.

Wish I was having such success. Maybe someday. At a recent appointment I felt as if I was one negative look away from an adult version of an exhausted two year old's hissy fit. Fortunately, there were no negative words or looks!
 
I was a hair's breath away from a hissy fit myself. Thankfully the woman I talked to had good dealing with cranky customers skills and responded well to me. It doesn't hurt that this has been going on for four years so I can use that history to make my point. It also added validation to my complaint. In the past I've only said I'd had a bad family experience with the other hospital. Today I told them what the experience was and said I would not go to that hospital. I said that if I must go somewhere other than the one I always go to then send me to the one north of here. I think they got my message. :)

I've also written to Patient Care Quality and asked if they had suggestions on how to resolve this once and for all. Patient Care Quality has helped me with this before and does good work.

Oh man, the history behind that is apparently long and not entirely clear. Might go look it up later. I must say, the f-bomb is easier to use. Can you imagine telling someone to "fornicate yourself"? :ROFLMAO:

I have discovered that I have very cute neighbours. I had seen male and female cardinals hanging around the house and a nest in a tree near the house, but didn't confirm that the latter belonged to the former until today when I realized I had a good view of the nest from my home office and could see the cardinals feeding their chicks.
 
I think it's since been disproven, but a plausible-sounding origin of the word was a legal acronym for Forced Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. For the sake of courtroom decorum, they shortened it to, well, what it is.

Once you know all this ... you are in a spin and thus cranked to everything that goes round ...

One even learns the metaphor for everything! In the stir some believe that everything is in one character ... an Eire for sure, thus sEire is up for a rose in Charon and it's on fire ... Flores? Some are floreð by the goings-on ... my dad would say doings ... as letter forms creep ... iconic! Pyre Oz ...

As we pass through life we cause chaos in the pool ... in humans is something disturbing to the dark and mysterious ... so lighten up avarice is not for phun only a break in the pastime ...

All things professional must adhere to protocol and thus limits the out of the box items like word, God and alternate discourse ... meaning you cannot exchange anything from other traditions that are also set in their way ... the abstract is interspace ... spatial spot ... tis illusive in virtue ... counter reality?

Tus the psyche is often spirited away by schemes that upset powerful schemers ... demanding more rules for conspiring so ... in the other tensor!

Some even claim one must be certified in such manner so as not to deviate ... reason for fatigue stress ... not enough give and take in balance ... so the inter thing comes and goes too ... inter determinant ... bet wix 'd ... hit it again Bert! These occur in fatty acids and other ligands, nucleic acids as a misnomer, metaphor ... items un recalled or 4 gotten ... could be the shade of the horse ... SH?

The public system has recently lost another valued asset to part time labour forces due to the strain of public bosses that are uncertain and insecure by knowledgeable folk underneath them. They feel their position is best protected by dispositioning the foundational supports in humanity ... seems counterproductive to me unless ends must be had ... thus talking asses?

Now if the powerful governing forces could just figure out the Higgs and Ford particles ... without them descending into the core support system causing fulmination ... Einstein worried that horizon too and decided the in humane would do as it does ... it just goes (literally unknowing).

Don't I know it from what's been stripped through the market inflationary rippers ... rye truth that the virtue of truth is too thin to observe ...

Like onions stacked ides will cause you tears ... chronic stress syndrome is said to be departed from the existential etudes ... thus out of the question for powerful alternate desires! Could we run this down ... without roe 'dr age ... small stir? Boundary disturbance the O Ray? R in Greek 's black ... Gama ... things run off into the hills ... blue stones? Sky Country is difficult ... always that haze ...

One is for the mess the other is for replication of demons ... emperors feel this is their prerogative ... thus Caesar is said to have cranked just about everyone ... the light of offspring spread from there ... glowing failure of power? It could be a borderline mental condition ...

Beyond that who knows ... knowing is not well admired! Increases stunning values ... jousting in the shadow? El Lo' Ha ... Blackwater?

I was condemned for using the Latin word for shady pools by UCC bosses ... thus the Ba Ha's ... By Use?
