One huge bonus of being in the middle of nowhere on Canada day is no fireworks. I don't miss them. Nanaimo seems to love its fireworks. We've had times where they go on past midnight. That probably isn't the city but a community just outside the city. A community on our end of town.
 
Preached two services yesterday, then continued on to Verdun to take our daughter and granddaughter home. Laundry and mowing are top jobs on the list today. It is supposed to rain most of tomorrow with up to 30mm of rain.
 
Good morning! The rain has finally come to this part of the world. Not enough to clean the car, but more is supposed to be coming. Bit of a dull morn, but nothing to overpower a sunny disposition. As we remember travel and late fireworks, let us gather around the coffee cart, where all is ready.

I'm working on two church services. Our minister takes holidays in July, so there are three of us that take turns leading worship. Even though we don't have children in the congregation lately, I am including a children's story. People can either tell it to the children in their lives or...some people will find the shorter sound-bite easier to handle than a 12 minute message.

Also...I am dealing with a delinquent washing machine. It is doing some pretty strange things which suggest the electronics are all messed up. And it isn't consistent. Sometimes the water won't turn off; sometimes it won't unlock; sometimes it spins forever; sometimes it doesn't spin at all. Today, I will see if there is a repairman/woman willing to take on this delinquent! I hear it takes several months to get a new washing machine if needed.
 
There are many in the distraught community of stress that need an immature version of the myth to cultivate ... thus maturing whines into fringe laughter ... diabolical! Those outside voices? Beyond me ... then there's Morris ...
 
Good morning. It's overcast here. We're heading back to AB today. We hope to get away before the rain starts since we have about 20 k of gravel road to travel before we get to pavement. It has been a nice visit and we're ready to move on. Baela had her last swim yesterday.

Hope it was a good one. Last time in the lake was always a bit of a last day ritual for us at the cottage.

And good morning all. As Red said, kind of grey and wet down here. Work from home today while Mrs. M has the car for her activities. We are working towards replacing the car I gave away so this juggling of the car might end in the Fall once we are back to two vehicles.

I would be tempted to unplug it for a few minutes, then plug it in again. Our washing machine used to sometimes take many minutes for the last minute to finish and other quirky things. We have no problems since we had three days without power. It reset itself.

Up plugged is great for a great for a wrinkle ... A' Gap eh? Allows the overtly emotional a chance to breeze/breath ... retain a Brest of ration ...

We've been through this with the dishwasher. Except you can't easily unplug those so I had to go downstairs and flip the breaker.
