But I think shawl I will end up knitting with start with the lighter colour end of the skein - which as it turns out is on the outer layer of this ball! Still pondering the choice of pattern.

Good morning. The rain has stopped for now and the sky is an odd colour. It's blue, accented by some clouds. Who knew?
 
We've entered a deep freeze now, although nothing to the temps on the prairies. Have to find Lucy's coat for her tomorrow.

me too! I did a test knit last night re the lace sections, estonian braid, kyok increases; watched a video today re a diff cast-on for crescent shaped shawl, ordered a LOT of additional markers ... we shall see!

Oooo I'm more intrigued. Yes, stitch markers will be your friend. This sounds like a project for a lifeline.

Maybe folk will be thus stimulated for the great awakening ... said to be rife with apoplexy ... a stoke of luck on escape from what some call an imaginary brain ... thus the mental case ... and we're out ... in a spontaneous blast ... democracy fails as a dream! The impossible dream revealed given our propensity to unseen and unknowns being worshiped instead of the diabolical thing that leads us ... avarice?

Do as you will without consequence they say ... 4 given in the circle ... there it lies ... "O" and indigent ... it goes without a sound! Yet still frightening and fearful ... especially of menirs! Let me reemphasize for the sake of empathy ... it is a icon for recollection ... lest we forget! Thus peace as it goes in Pisces?

Good morning. We're heading to the city today. Yesterday there were reports on FB of skating rink roads all around the region. First resorts this morning suggest slush in the direction we're headed. There are enough commuters that things should be okay by the time we head out. The day will include a Thai lunch with friends.
 
Good luck with the driving Northwind. Our roads are 'heavy going' with days of light, fine snow. Not driving conditions for me and hubby is hanging tight hoping that the main roads will get ploughed today. He had a visit to the bank on his agenda but I doubt it is crucial..
 
We have gotten less than a cm of snow after five hours of a light snowfall. Still -7 or -8 here in the Eastern Ottawa Valley.
 
We're almost to the city. The road has been wet and sloppy. The sun is low and we're heading east most of the way (who knew) so the glare is well delightful. :rolleyes:
 
Good morning! Welcome to the 12th Day of Christmas! As we think of weather and driving conditions, and other things, let us ponder-- if the song were written on our time, what gifts would we give on the 12 days of Christmas? I mean, does anyone really have room or use for seven swans a-swimming?

Honkers???? In other traditions these have another name that ring like a dull bell. Get he image ... it is all in the mind they say ... an abstract! What can one deduct from that ... how dippy!
 
Another snowfall warning for later today. :rolleyes: 15 to 25 centimeters. I'm supposed to go to the city today and tomorrow. I'm at my sister's which is closer but there is still a mountain between here and there. And she lives on a steep hill. My room is in the basement. I texted her last night to suggest we spend the night in town tonight. That is likely the best option. Then I can get my last treatment tomorrow and the roads may be better in the afternoon. Decisions.

Yes, the night in town thing sounds like a good idea, especially with mountain, steep hill and snow involved.
