Good morning. Kettle is on for tea. I am drinking Lemon Grove today, a nice fruity blend.

Vibes to @Nancy . Surgery is bad enough without a pandemic.

Kind of adrift right now. Not much energy once work is finished. Inspiration not high so writing is kind of stalled. Reading goes nowhere. Winter blahs, maybe.

Good morning. We got six inches of beautiful fresh snow this morning. Looking forward to a morning walk

sorry to hear you are feeling blahMendalla. A nice brisk walk to cheer your spirits?

A walk today will definitely be brisk. Got a nice stiff wind blowing right now so probably a significant wind chill.

in NB it's referred to as being "shackwhacky".
 Sounds much better than "cabin fever".

There was a novel written about this Shack thing ... it is kind of dark and illustrative of facing the abstract ...

Then on darkness and the unknown ... there are certain protocols in place to prevent abuse of power. How one corrupts this office as a previously hollow room without a person of psyche is an indeterminate factor ... embraced by all that we don't know ... God!

Yet there are folks that will determinately tell you all about it with expectations to rise to the office with all that is corrupt in their designated knowledge as absolute! Seems cloudy to me as a land possessed with fuzzy images of ... angles & demons ... black and white divides as the story is laid out!

Expect some read and yellow as the hiss'n an pssst'n goes on ... peace is disturbed by critters of the night ... gats be ide ... and the myth goes on about existential improbabilities ... given eternal potential ... can anything happen in a large void? Be aware the sky doesn't fall as a large domain, albeit with some levity! Nothing is a light pass in time ...

I'm on hold with Service Canada, expecting a 1hr hold time.
I'm trying to get a copy of a tax receipt for my Dad. Had done this back in the fall with same delay, but never came, and didn't want to go through the 1hr hold again. Sadly, don't have access to his online, so need to do it the old way.
So....making use of the time, by reviewing wondercafe2, catching up on email, and so on.
Wouldn't be so bad, if the canned music wasn't so bad.

Also thinking of Nancy as today is, I hope still, her day for surgery. Trusting all will go well & she'll be dancing a jig by the summer!

Winter blues ... so common. Have had a bit of it here too. On the plus side I've just finished reading a beautiful book by Madeleine L'Engle - The Summer of the Great Grandmother - a reflection on her mother's life, ancestors stories, and the passing days of the last summer of her mother's life as dementia takes her further away from participation in family life. It is one book of a collection of four titled The Crosswicks Journals - I am keen to read the others. It's the first book I've read by L'Engle. I love a book with great writing, pensive moments, and language I actually have to look up - I realize how restricted my own vocabulary is at times.

Sadly, I learned this week that good friend, a nurse, is ill with COVID. She is at home, and hopefully gradually recovering, praying that her family does not/has not become infected.

Greetings. Sending well wishes to those who need them today.

Baela and I had a crisp walk this morning. Mitts or gloves would have been wise. Still, I do know -2 is not that cold. We plan to go for a walk this afternoon. There's a fabulous park that has an off-leash area so Ms Baela will be able to have a good run. She may even get to swim if she's lucky.

I talked to the doctor this week. Because my bloodwork has been stable, she said I could graduate to only getting bloodwork every three months. I had bloodwork yesterday and Murphy got involved. My levels were too low. Sooooo back to monthly bloodwork again. Thankfully the techs at the lab are awesome. They've also made some changes that mean less waiting.

Oh Northwind - the ups and downs of health issues! Hopefully your levels will get sorted out soon. And BTW - -2 IS gloves weather LOL! At least for us southern dwellers!

So my mood has actually picked up today. Even got a good ride on my stationary bike this afternoon (don't tell the boss  ). And now it's the weekend.

Hey, it's that Bernie guy again!

We had a nice walk through a local park this afternoon. It has an off-leash side so Baela got to run and play with others. She even had a bit of a swim. She thought it was fabulous!!! She's konked out now. This is one photo from the park.

We got 25 cm of fresh fluffy snow while at work yesterday, nobody had expected. I am getting the snowshoes out today for a nice walk over the local golf course.

Good morning, all! Nice fresh snow on the ground here, maybe 5 cm worth. The weekend has arrived; let us salute the day with warm bevvies. Tea water is hot, coffee is perked. Enjoy.
