Exactly!! Tea is always there for you. Scottish Breakfast from my local store is my poison for this morning.

I'm into a nice Jasmine green at present. My return from my "dental hiatus" of 6 years went well, but the suspect tooth has got to go. And by now, I've lost enough bone around it that it needs a bone graft as well. Yuck, and better ask for more hours at the store...insurance never covers enough of this s**t. And unfortunately, I've had to book the work for Strawberry Shortcake Day (our biggest single fundraiser of the year), when I had volunteered myself to whip cream all day...

If memory serves correctly, you were a tad fed up with all that cream whipping last year. ;)

Hoping the dental procedure goes well . . . P3

I have one that's probably on its last legs. It was rooted and capped years ago, but started acting up again. One root was cracking so my dentist removed just that root (yes, a good DDS can do that, apparently) but it is acting up again.

I'm apparently pretty careful with my teeth. This was a crown put on a live root 20 years ago, so it has done well. It only took one olive pit in early mid-life to turn me into a careful chewer.

I enjoy a cup of Red Dragon Spiced Chai tea with a small measure of honey. Usually mid afternoon and mid evening. A pause that refreshes!

Good morning, all! Tea and coffee are ready for your enjoyment. Indulge.

After today's quick post on the Chapters Revisited thread, I am ready for coffee.
Many thanks for getting it ready! c[_]

I'm supposed to continue advertising today for a fundraising concert, to be held at a local church, on March 27. I've contacted the musicians (from the east coast) and they say they are going ahead with it in spite of the covid-19 scare/quarantines/reality. But I honestly think people won't want to come to it so I have a hard time putting my heart into the advertising.

The heart of things is hard to advertise as many will poke holes in it --- Cupid! Thought is beyond that barrier that is often terrorized ...

I find that I prefer fruity teas to spiced ones like chais. I do drink chai when in, say, an Indian restaurant, but not regularly. Can't say why, though.

The coffee is nice, thanks. It's always nice to gather around the cart and visit with no fears of virus and plagues.

I am tired today. The med I'm on slams my neutrophils. I take it for 21 days then I'm supposed to be off it for 7. I had an almost 3 week break last time. Today is my last dose and yesterday we had a vigorous, hilly hike. Today will be a quiet, restorative day. I have to do laundry. That just involves putting the laundry in a cart, taking it to the laundry room then sitting waiting for it to do its thing. It's a sunny day so it will be nice. The laundry will probably be quiet too as people enjoy the outdoors.

Hugs Northwind. That fatigue is ruthless. I'm pretty amazed that you have kept up such a hiking schedule despite it! Glad you have some relaxing time in the sunshine today.

I'm feeling much better today - and doing more of my usual ADLs :-) & happy to be for functionally independent. My thumbs are still tender, so being mindful about not overdoing it. Just came back from a short walk in my neighbourhood - nice to get some fresh air! Glad to have that nasty episode behind me.

I'm thankful that the fatigue is a variation of normal these days. It's not the bone crushing chemo fatigue that has limits. I can push through this within reason. Having a few lazy days is helpful.

I'm glad you're feeling better Carolla. Continued good healing.

That is hard Nancy. And who knows - by then cancellation may be in the works. Just curious - do you use online ticketing options? I saw this online webinar promoted today - it's from Canada Helps. In my experience churches are slow to engage with electronic ticketing etc. I think I"ll listen in to this - I'm part of a group organizing a spring workshop on storytelling (if such workshoppy things can happen - might be delayed until fall!) Interesting regarding tickets. No...we are tres old fashioned here. The concert has been cancelled....er, postponed, I mean... and a flurry of e-mails have been bouncing around telling people, and arranging return of money/tickets. I've had phone calls to buy tickets (and I had to explain the new situation) and phone calls wondering how to get money back. My concern at this time will be how to raise money for our camp with this one fundraiser removed from the agenda. Money talk is not easy with the markets plunging at the moment. Hopefully, by the time July rolls around, this all will be a distant memory and Camp will be more fun than worry.

So true about the money talk - I've been totally avoiding checking my investment balance, having gone through the 2008 collapse. Sigh.

I wonder if it might make sense to offer people the opportunity to make a donation to the cause they were in fact originally supporting - some might. But yes - so worriesome. Maybe a 'crowdfunding' initiative? eg - since we can't have our usual big fundraiser for camp - here's your opportunity to support us anyway! Presuming of course all will be clear by the summer & camp will go ahead.

That's what I was thinking. Set up a GoFundMe or similar. Or, if this is an ongoing program, invite people to "patronize" the camp through Patreon, which would generate a more continuous revenue stream. I imagine a GoFundMe would be more successful, though. Patreon is better suited to supporting artists, Youtube channels, and the like.

I would imagine people will still be reluctant to sign up for camps later this year.
