It really is. I would say most of the wines are Okanagan wines. I believe it is Nk'mip (inkimeep) band that runs this. They have a winery, campground and other businesses in the area.

I helped my friend to clean out her mother’s house yesterday( pouring rain, at times heavy), in Halifax. Now my car is filled with clothes, wheelchair, walkers, household items,to give away or sell). We went to the Greek restaurant and had an excellent meal after but with picking her up and driving her home, I didn’t get back until 10.
Today, junior invited me to Coras. Will see how long the lineup will be there. And Ihave to unpack the suff and get it on Kjiji.
My old neighbour is going to a facility on Thursday. There will likely be more sorting out in her place, too next week. And again with my friend on Friday . So much for Minimalism. But some stuff I just can’t let go to the garbage.

Good morning! Happy Mothers Day! Sunny here this morning, though a bit chilly. It will warm up nicely, though. For teepee and wine visits, sorting out of houses, minimalism and demiurges, plus whatever else come to mind, it comes to the Coffee Cart with us for chat, support, laughter, tears, and community building, over coffee, teas, and cinnamon rolls. The tea water is ready, the coffee is freshbrewed, and the buns nicely warmed. All is ready, all are welcome. Come in when you can, have a bun and a hot beverage, and join the conversation!

@Mrs.Anteater …being a minimalist is hard these days! I sure want to get rid of things but this week I did more organizing of stuff than tossing. I definitely have too many books but it seems to be torture to part with them. And we have a slew of toys for all ages which helps make our house inviting to the grand kids. As the littlest ages out I’ll start getting rid of some of the baby toys.
Oh…and happy Mother’s Day to the moms among us. I’ll spend some time with my mom feeling just a little sad that she doesn’t remember mothering me but also willing to enjoy the now that I have with her.

I am frequently amazed by the tings some people throw away. We have two places who accept usable items and help people in need. Very easy to arrange for drop offs. What faulty thinking leads people to toss perfectly good items in the bin?

We are living with Smoke Day #4. Yesterday I learned that our closest Provincial Park has been badly damaged. Several lakes with camping areas have been burned. All these spots involve many memories for us. Soo sad.

Wow smoke days already. 
When we downsized we sold a lot of stuff. We donated other stuff. When we cleaned my father's apartment, a lot of stuff went to Value Village. It wasn't our first choice. It was close to his apartment and wasn't the garbage bin.
We had a lovely day yesterday. We visited with friends who live in Oliver and went with them to a winery that was having a festival. It was a nice visit. We came back to the park here and went to the Karaoke. No, we didn't sing. It was fun.
There will be laziness today. We'll be going to a Greek restaurant for supper tonight. That will be nice.

Having a nice day here. Weather is good so we hit Komoka Provincial Park (really a glorified conservation area but has a nice trail system) for a hike. Wanted to do it last week, too, but weather forecast was iffy so I'm glad we got to do it this week. Now have my bread machine running for the first time since early in the pandemic. Whole wheat bread flour basically vanished for a few years so I switched to eating cereal with nuts and fruit for breakfast but my local Walmart has it again.

Went up to visit my folks today. Brought Bette's trees with us. Finally dropped off the well-travelled firewood and gave the grass its first cut of the season. There is still snow on parts of the hill, especially in the terrain park where jumps were built and at the top of our mogul run which hosted a national level competition in March. They had my daughter working the course with a shovel, breaking up the landing zones to make them softer. You need to give that job to good skiers because it's too steep for regular boots. First time she's been employed with a shovel in her hand, and it's still more for her skiing, lol.

Well, today I lost another facebook account. I give up. Goodbye Meta. I can't care, all I do is play games anyway, but now I have lost all of my photos, again. I don't even know what I did, of course.
Great day. Daughter came for breakfast at church (stratas - vegan vegetarian gluten free and a regular one with meat. Lots of milk and cheese; I ate vegan and fruit salad.) I was reader for service; it went well. Went to big guys house after I ditched church clothes and shoes and then picked up nail stuff at daughter's. Whereupon they discussed their medical cannabis business while I read a book. His hair is cut, his nails are done, My toenails are done and polished, we had brinner together (eggs bennie on pumpernickel with one of my lovely composed salads) then he took off to pick up airport friend and Erin repaired three fingernails and we made a date for a full set.
P.S. There are a couple of sodding great logs for you still, chansen.

FB gone? Is this imagined? Some say that a great part of what we know comes through Ai ... that's right Aye! It is like half driven by one cheek of the thing while the other do rest ... creating alternates ... and thus images of one's elf ... some accept this without doubt even though the first command says to keep the way clear ... so much to gather in a broken nation ... the way it falls out ...
