So I picked up the two backgammon books. The one for beginners provides a bit of theory and then walks you through three sample games.

The intermediate book offers 501 scenarios to solve.

I plan to my board & discs to walk through the material. It looks very promising! I wonder how long it will take me to do this. I certainly expect to be renewing the books at the library. The maximum number of renewals is 3 as long as no one has placed a hold on the book.
 
I don’t feel that the force is with me at all- got my cast off today and really expected it to be better than what it is- even washing my hands is painful. Had another look at the x rays- I really smashed that wrist. He also told me I have arthritis in my thumb and demonstrated it by pressing right on it- ouch, I do. Hope,to,see PT tomorrow to determine when and how to return to work. Not able to drive yet , but I could get rides from my coworkers who can pass by my house.
 
Never heard of such a thing, but I hope I get one in a few years! (I'm a bit of a late mortgagee, having had to pay out my sisters for their share of my house when my Mom passed.)

And ouch, Mrs.A., re your wrist. Let's not do this again, ok? I was at the dentist today, knowing that my new bridge was somehow screwed up. Turns out that in the great rib-fracturing fall, I snapped my teeth together so hard that I destroyed the 3-month old bridge AND sheared a chunk off the tooth behind it. My denturist says she sees such damage in car accidents, and football injuries... I'm lucky that I'm okay to drive now, although I confess I'm more likely to use my mirrors than twist my body when lane-changing (so the highway is not a great idea).
 
So, I was having a think about Mrs.A's mortgage burning present, and another (silent-ish) WCer showed up to comment on FB, and I got to thinking, would we ever like to have a Zoom meeting to connect? (I've actually "met" Mrs.A. via Zoom, and a few other WCers IRL during travels.)

Ouch - that wrist is missing its external support :-( I remember my grandmother having a similarly disappointing experience when she got a cast off after Colles fracture years ago - she was itching to get straight to doing all the housework that had accumulated during her convalescence. Hoping your PT appt goes well - and healing will progress. In the meantime - hope you're getting a bit of spring sunshine down your way!

We commiserate with sore wrists, dental damage, and other injuries; wish luck to those improving their backgammon game, rejoice with those who paid off the mortgage,, and ponder the possibility of Zoom meet-ups. I can't join ... cause a long time ago I was told I was not part of religious affiliation because of separatory powers greater than I ... thus there is significant elimination between the mortal and immortal ... it is how thoughts go ...

Numerous times I've been told that I should be tossed out of sites like this for thinking about alien concerns ... ANIS the way it is by supposition ... some say assumed to be right ... I've left all I have to contribute as it is indicated I know nothing of the opposition ... and I'm happy they are over there ... as long as their joy does not upend mine ... that demands eternal reciprocation ... and folks on their heads ...

To say something without sense in these surroundings that appear doomed? It incarnates as standard manifestation in sane domains that may appear odd lye ... in flashes and blips as quirks ... evil science as observational in a devotions to darkness ... RIP Eire is coming to enlighten you of your sentient ... the descriptions of this undomesticated departure are multitude ...

I've even be asked about my reality ... isn't that unreal, suggesting there was nothing there in front of you ... a run over incident like that odd cup! Just too much ...

Can you say that with a virtue of smile? The authorities won't like it ... if common folks smile the tyrants think they've lost something ... and they they believe they have to get you and separate your parts as in the English spin on quarter horsing ... never trust an authority on fixations ... everything changes even if they are not sentient of IT! Thus unconscious psyches ... a dark skill ... once Innis Killen and thus dead ringers as these go round ... unacceptable to straight-liners! Expect returns ... as those in such heated states get all bent out of shape ...

The entire place could blow ... and then we too will be out there ... given the ignorance It appears we may deserve what we gets! My spouse says I am a fatalist ... and I believe she is opportunist but out of position ... one side is declared to stay put while the other opposes ... thus edifices ... expect dissonance there ... that's Eris (word that I was condemned by an English PHD that said it was an unknown ... but I knew its ancient understanding). So that's that on how to be eliminated by powers declared but not proven as everything declared is theology ... that's "in" theory ... out there yet! Consider the potential that mortals a a glowing cloud of something incomplete ... as close to abstract as the absolute will go ... pure chaos?

It is a public preference if we believe what the private sector tells us we should desire (all driven by AD and adden dumb tuit). Wasn't that well oiled and slick of them? A lot of words could be added unconsciously ... and few would be sapient ... an omi charge! Ustinov said Dear Meis ...

I have an answer for everything ... but it is likely wrong as delivered by authority that have no better theories than I on what's delivered by previous lies ... the world is constructed on these things that few have questioned ... if you do ... be hidden or the powers will privatize what you de deux 'd separately! From there uncertainty expounds ... enlarges? Much of the explicate is just hole space ... baffling?
 
Mrs A - take great care with that wrist. It is a long way from healed. Hopefully it will recover nicely- unlike mine which continues to bother me occasionally. It could be worse though. Arthritis arrived in mine too - but so far it isn't as bothersome as my knees and hips.
 
I broke the scaphoid bone in my right wrist cycling when I was fourteen and I'm still paying for it at fifty-seven. Though oddly, my arthritis is worse in the index finger in that hand, not the thumb, which is the finger directly above the scaphoid.

Good morning. Trying to get my butt in gear. The fifth wheel goes to the dealer for some warranty work today. We want to have it there by 8 or so. We will go to a local restaurant for breakfast after we drop it off. Yum. Meanwhile, it's early

A key system fails and the guy who knows it inside and out (because he built it) is on vac.

Well the trailer is at the dealer and hubby is checking in. I'm ready for a good breakfast at the local fabulous breakfast place.
 
Tomorrow is a birthday party for my #3 grandson, who is turning.....ONE!. We got him a water table, and he loves it. They sent three different pictures on the first day he had it...three different outfits. He kept getting soaked. Now I think we need to get him a wet suit.
