BetteTheRed ------your comment . The sheep, of whatever damned denomination or religion, are those who feed/clothe/visit/support/love all of their neighbours in need, especially the "least". The goats are those who ignore the needs of any of their neighbours.

I disagree, unsafe. Given the absolute variability of human emotions and intentions, I think that the text is saying "be damned the rationale - reward the ACTUAL ACTIVITY". Help your neighbour, especially if they're already down and out in some fashion. Simple.

BetteTheRed -------unsafe says ----Not surprised that you do disagree -----the scripture is clear that Satan blinds the Minds of unbelievers ---and he is doing a great job of just that -----but here is the thing with you ---you have never claimed to have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that I know of ----It is the people who Claim to be True Christ--ians ----that is Born of the Spirit having the Holy Spirit in them who give us illumination of what the scripture is saying and then says or writes things that contradicts the Scripture and claims that their information came by and through the Holy Spirit that is the issue -----Worldly People think worldly ----Spirit Filled People are to believe by faith the word of God is the Truth as it says it is ----what is contradicted cannot be the truth ------there can't be 2 truths ------one is true the other is false ----it is a twisting of the truth ----

Today's readings are from Matthew 26 and Mark 14. They are very much alike. They tell a story leading up towards the crucifixion of Jesus, one that is very familiar to me and most of you. Therefore, I will not dwell on these readings in detail. As stated in the beginning of this thread, my purpose is to read through the Bible in one year giving special attention to those passages that are less familiar to me or speak to me with new meaning or revelation. It is not my purpose to be to Bible study,


Both Gospels begin with Jesus predicting that he will be crucified in Jerusalem as there is a plot against him.

They continue with the story of a woman of Bethany anointing Jesus. This does not seem to be Mary the sister of Martha and Lazarus who also anointed Jesus in Bethany. This woman remains unnamed even though the Gospels tell us that she will be remembered throughout the world.

This is followed by a section on the Last Supper. After which they went to the Mount of olives.

The next section in the Bible I am reading, has Jesus predicting Peter's denial. Then come to the scene in the garden of Gethsemane Jesus prays this cup might be passed from him while the disciples sleep.

Next we come to Jesus arrested by the Temple guards. Only Mark reports that the arrest was witnessed a young boy who, when the disciples fled, also ran away. Apparently he had been only wrapped in a sheet and when a guard grabbed the sheet, the boy ran away naked.

Next Jesus is tried before the Sanhedrin followed by the report of Peter denying Jesus three times.

This ends these chapters of Matthew and Mark.

That's beyond those pinned down by the spear of aversion and avarice about anything other ... the death of the diversity of God collapses at the concept of divine elimination ...

Thus the elite and advantaged (entitled) believe themselves better than the balance of God (all the others).

Can you imagine the God of illumination and awareness of a great vast empire ... being put down for some obscure reason?

Does the reason count in irrational irreverence? No respect required ... as critical to the carrying off of hostility in polity ...

Does the subtlety in the myth appear darkly buried?

This is a message I shared a few weeks ago at Church for Communion and felt that The Lord wanted me to share it again here. Communion is such a powerful tool we have as the body of Christ, not only to remember that Christ died for us, conquered the grave and rose again in victory, but also to remember that we can walk in complete freedom from the enemy in every area of our life. Communion is something we can do on a daily basis to claim victory in any circumstance we are going through by claiming, decreeing and declaring the freedom and victory that Christ Jesus has given us through what He went through.

Here is the 7 places that Jesus shed His Blood for us and its significance in the area we have victory over and complete freedom from enemy.
1) The Sweating of Blood (In the garden of Gethsemane)

Luke 22:40-44 NKJV- When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
This signifies that Jesus Won Back Our Willpower to resist temptation because He overcame the greatest temptation that was so intense, it caused Him to sweat blood.

The Gospel of Luke chapter 22 covers much of the same material as the readings from Matthew and Mark. However, while Matthew seems to have copied the Gospel of Mark almost word for word, Luke had no problem rewording and expanding it. Several things are different but similar, including the words spoken by Jesus.
Only in Luke do we find mention of the disciples arguing about who was the greatest at the Last Supper that Jesus ate with them. Luke's account is in similar to Matthew and Mark's report of the brothers James and John request to sit at Jesus' right and left hands. Jesus uses this occasion to remind them of the need for humility.
Jesus advises the disciples about what they can expect to and tells them to prepare themselves even to obtain some weapons, swords. Next, we read Luke’s version of Jesus prayer in the garden, Judas’ betrayal, the arrest of Jesus, followed by Peter’s denial,
Chapter 22 and with Luke’s account of Jesus trial in more detail than in the previous two Gospels.

Again I just briefly summarized the content of this very familiar reading.

It says all scripture is God Breathed ----so Mark and everyone else would have gotten what they wrote from God not each other ---that of course is if you believe the truth -----Which is what True Christians are called to do -----

Now we turn to John 13. John’s Gospel is very different from the other Gospels. Although it seems likely that John was aware of the other gospels there is no evidence that he had them in front of him or that he was referring to them in any way.

Although Jesus is sharing a final meal with his disciples, there is no mention of the special emphasis given to the bread and wine as his body and blood. Rather John tells the story of Jesus washing the disciples’ feet. None of the other gospels contain the story.

10 Jesus told Peter, “People who have washed are completely clean. They need to have only their feet washed. All of you, except for one, are clean.” 11 (Jesus knew who was going to betray him. That’s why he said, “All of you, except for one, are clean.”)

Jesus predicts that he will be betrayed. After Judas leaves the room Jesus talks to the disciples giving them the new commandment to love one another. When Peter declares his loyalty Jesus predicts Peter's denial.
While the other Gospels have Jesus and his followers in the upper room after the meal and go to the garden, John (chapters 14 to 16) has them linger in the upper room for a long discussion in which Jesus tells them that he will soon be leaving them but that he will send an advocate, the Holy Spirit, to be with them. He thinks much about the love of God for them and that they must love God and love one another. It is here that we find many familiars passages, such as 'I go to prepare a place for you'and the many 'I am' statements of Jesus. Jesus warns his followers suffering and persecution's to come but promised us that there sorrow will turn to joy and they will have peace.
Chapter 17 is a long prayer of Jesus in which he prays to be glorified. Then he pays for his disciples, and then he prays for all believers.This long reflection and prayer is unique to John.

The first one is ------‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

Tis a dark domain where some folk lose much ... just to demonstrate that a domain of nothing exists ... and there it went very non savant! It was not retained well by those ignoring history surrounding biblical laws and loss ...

Besides some folk really didn't wish to know much from the initiation and thus eff'd ... a function of ephemera ... a juice from certain trees ... plots of logos, misguided! Some say logic schemes ... a spin off of conspiracy as defined !
