Sort of gives you a feel for how Melania feels, humiliated, and angry, when she sees

and hears about Trump acting up. Would he confine her to HIS Harem for the rest

of her life, do you think?

You mean when she hears allegations.

You mean when she hears allegations.

No allegations needed. It's a public fact that he started up with Marla Maples, wife 2, while still married to Ivana, wife 1, and was separated, but not divorced, from Marla when he first started a relationship with Melania. And those are just the ones that turned into longterm relationships. Rumours, true and not, about Trump's love life have been around as long as he has been in the spotlight. The guy is a serial philanderer, which is why no one is surprised by the Stormy Daniels allegations, true or not (I'll bet even Melania isn't, and may even have known all along). The odds of him fooling around are higher than the odds of him not doing so.

"No allegations needed... Rumors, true and not,... Stormy Daniels allegations..."

Stormy Daniels has Trump over a barrel. Trump's lawyer admitted to the payment to keep Stormy silent. Trump did not sign the agreement. She has now offered to return the $130,000 to the account of Trump's choosing, if he signs. He is in a no-win situation. If he accepts the money back, he admits the affair, and she tells all. If he denies it, and denies it is him in the agreement, then the agreement is not binding, and she tells all.

And get this: She has a dress.

And then there is the illegal campaign contribution issue. Trump's campaign paid Trump Properties fees that were out of the normal monthly fees totalling $129,999.72 (or within pennies) around the time Trumps' lawyer paid Stormy Daniels $130,000. You can't make up incompetence like this. So either that money was forwarded to Cohen (the lawyer), or the lawyer broke campaign finance limits by effectively paying $130K toward the campaign.

There is no good option for Trump here. And if Cohen paid Stormy $130K for something that did not happen, how good of a negotiator is Donald Trump? Lots of women have accused Donald Trump of sexual assault or affairs. Does he pay them all off?

The 60 Minutes interview with Stormy Daniels is due to air March 18. We will probably hear more by then, if not before. I expect lots of evangelical Christian leaders will be on Fox News in the days leading up to the interview, explaining how it does not matter if Donald Trump had sex with multiple porn stars. With a newborn son at home with his wife. The contortionism and hypocrisy are going to be epic.

The crap in real life is unbelievable ...

Don't worry about it Crazyheart. Your comments were right on, showing that human's haven't changed much.

And to get back to the Bible, I've been reading from the Psalms - 1 - 2 / 15 / 22-24 / 47 / 68 / 88 / 96 / 100 / 101 / 132
Many of these are short, familiar, and much loved. Many I memorized as a child.

Doesn't seem to be much emphasis on memorizing at all in schools or churches. I would encourage a return to it. A poem or a passage memorized seems to come alive. You have to know it really well to memorize it .

You need to know the words really well, that much is true.

But you don't have to be bothered understanding a poem or passage in order to memorize it. I still have a few lines of Shakespeare committed to memory but this doesn't mean I know anything about their context.

Maybe it depends on your memorization style. I always have to understand things before I can negotiate with them. So, when a decade or so ago, I had to memorize a major passage from Richard III (Now is the winter of our discontent...), by the time I "got it", I "got it"...

We didn't do much memorization in my day. Some Bible stuff in Sunday School (e.g. 23rd Psalm). I had to memorize a speech of my choice from MacBeth in Grade 12 English (chose the dagger speech, which I have largely forgotten save for that chilling opening, "Is this a dagger which I see before me? Come, let me clutch thee!). I think that was about it. I do have some short poems and favorite song lyrics largely memorized but that postdates school. "Beth" by Kiss is an odd one. I used to have plans to use it in a story that is probably "dead" now (ie. will never be written) but I kept singing it over and over in my head as I planned out the scene where it would be used.

A couple of years ago I devised my own system of memorization which has enabled me to learn verses, passages, even chapters. Without going into detail, it involves going over and over what I'm memorizing.

UCCAN Church Schools have decided after much study that memorizing is exclusive

of some children. Some learn by seeing or touching, or feeling but not all children

learn by rote.

What do you mean, "UCCAN Church Schools" crazyheart? Is that the new name for them? Back in my day they were called, "Sunday Schools."

It is a name we have been using for a long time. Sunday Schools suggest that children can only

go to church related Christian Ed. on Sundays. I was on a Children, Young Teens Task Group for 2 years.

A resource went out to all Pastoral Charges in the United Church. Honouring A Place For All.

It probably is filed away. Over 20 years ago. This is when Money was invested by the church

into this ministry. I am still very proud of the work we did.

When other than Sundays does Christian education for children take place in UCCanada churches?
