Stormy Daniels has Trump over a barrel. Trump's lawyer admitted to the payment to keep Stormy silent. Trump did not sign the agreement. She has now offered to return the $130,000 to the account of Trump's choosing, if he signs. He is in a no-win situation. If he accepts the money back, he admits the affair, and she tells all. If he denies it, and denies it is him in the agreement, then the agreement is not binding, and she tells all.
And get this: She has a dress.
And then there is the illegal campaign contribution issue. Trump's campaign paid Trump Properties fees that were out of the normal monthly fees totalling $129,999.72 (or within pennies) around the time Trumps' lawyer paid Stormy Daniels $130,000. You can't make up incompetence like this. So either that money was forwarded to Cohen (the lawyer), or the lawyer broke campaign finance limits by effectively paying $130K toward the campaign.
There is no good option for Trump here. And if Cohen paid Stormy $130K for something that did not happen, how good of a negotiator is Donald Trump? Lots of women have accused Donald Trump of sexual assault or affairs. Does he pay them all off?
The 60 Minutes interview with Stormy Daniels is due to air March 18. We will probably hear more by then, if not before. I expect lots of evangelical Christian leaders will be on Fox News in the days leading up to the interview, explaining how it does not matter if Donald Trump had sex with multiple porn stars. With a newborn son at home with his wife. The contortionism and hypocrisy are going to be epic.
