Bible Passage of the Week
I never would say "this is the true meaning" of any Scripture passage since that is a nonsensical phrase suggesting there is one 'true' meaning. I have preached on the various flavours of the fruit of the spirit either alone or in conjunction with passages like "by their fruits you shall know them" and as alway the preaching task is based on the question "what ware these ancient texts saying to us today?" the answer might not bd the same every time.

I would say that a true test of the fruits of the Spirit is "how 'they' make you feel". It is an old, and maybe true adage that people care less about what you say than how you make them feel.

Thus one old philosopher declared the makings of religion when feeling and thought were separated and caused self elimination when there were excess divides ... never think without care in ... she's critcal ... especially about bad thoughts. One has to learn the difference ... why the folly of humanity as mankind ... kind 've like that! vast metaphysics ... metaphorically? Tis a grand etude ... you have to get out to observe ... just a peak (^) sensation?

Thats a Nin Yah in another expression ... where 1 of yah isn't ... is an incarnation ... nothing like it when it is gone as a thorny issue ... an upright point of sort ... instigation for rising son ... dark foboding myths of men doing as they please without reining in? Resistance ...

It may settle to the core ...

Cultivate
the fruit of peace (Galatians 5:22) through Scripture meditation and Spirit-led obedience.

I say --
---so what GORW is Saying Contradicts what God Word Says and what Strong's is saying ---as there is a True Spiritual meaning of Peace according to Scripture and Strong's

So we have free will to choose ----who we want to believe ----GordW version or God's version ----

Is GordW ----God who can say there is no true Meaning to the Fruits of the Spirit ----NO

Is it OK for GordW to Have a personal worldly opinion about the nature of the Fruit of the Spirit ----YES

Is it OK for a Minister who has taken an oath to Preach the Word of God and who claims to be a True Christian to preach What they think in their own minds about the Fruit of the Spirit to their flock who Rely on Getting the Spiritual truth from their Trusted Minister -------I wouldn't think so -----just saying

I say ===Is It OK for God's Spiritual Truth to be different every time it is Preached or is God's Spiritual Truth always consistently the same ------

Bible says ---God doesn't change His mind --Folks ---His Truth is the same every time

He says this in his post -----

Quoting GordW here

I never would say "this is the true meaning" of any Scripture passage---

Continuing here with Strong's Concordance

Old Testament and Jewish Background

The Septuagint regularly uses εἰρήνη to translate Hebrew shalom, a word that embraces completeness, prosperity, and relational harmony with God.

Peace with God:
The Fruit of Justification

Salvation establishes objective reconciliation with God
. “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1).

This peace frees the conscience from condemnation (Romans 8:1, 6) and removes the enmity described in Romans 3:17.

Peace within the Heart: The Gift of Christ

Jesus bequeaths an inward calm immune to external turmoil: “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you… Do not let your hearts be troubled” (John 14:27).

The Spirit applies this reality so that “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).

Individual believers are therefore called to “pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace” (2 Timothy 2:22).

I say and Question ----if you don't have the Gift of Christ indwelling in you ---then you don't have that Spiritual peace in your heart and mind Folks -----Your peace is worldly and that peace will fail you folks in times of trouble -----

Be Honest with yourselves ------

Believe God Folks NOT Flawed MANKIND -------

This often holds true when it comes to sermons
My View

Ya I Agree -----with this ----and the reason I agree is that Most Ministers have not Cultivated the Spiritual fruits in their own Lives so it is preached as feelings not as actual Personal Spiritual experiences ---

Which in my mind is sad -----Can't truly Preach what you have not Experienced yourself ===

Good Preaching goes along with what you have Spiritually experienced yourself -----

From Strong's
Cultivate the fruit of peace (Galatians 5:22) through Scripture meditation and Spirit-led obedience.

Worldly Joy is not the same as Spiritual Joy --Folks

I say ---the Video Folks ---gives you the real True explanation of all of the Spiritual Fruits of the Holy Spirit -----

Spiritual Joy ====is Cultivated by way of the Holy Spirit indwelling in the Believer

Lexical Summary
chara: Joy, gladness, delight
cheerfulness, i.e. calm delight

Cultivate joy
----- through Scripture, prayer, and worship where the Spirit applies gospel truth to the heart.

Theological Essence of Joy (χαρά)

Joy in the New Testament is more than emotion; it is the settled,

Spirit-given delight that arises from the redemptive acts and abiding presence of God.

It is rooted in divine initiative, experienced in the believer, and expressed both now and in the age to come.

Old Testament Roots and Messianic Fulfilment

The Septuagint often renders Hebrew words for rejoicing with χαρά, setting the stage for New Testament usage.

Prophetic promises of messianic deliverance (for example Isaiah 61:10) overflow into the Gospels: “I bring you good news of great joy” (Luke 2:10).

The birth, ministry, and resurrection of Jesus Christ are portrayed as the climactic fulfilment of that anticipated joy.

Joy amid Trials

James summons believers: “Count it all joy when you encounter various trials” (James 1:2).

Hebrews presents Jesus as the model: “For the joy set before Him He endured the cross” (Hebrews 12:2).

Practical Implications for Believers Today

Cultivate joy through Scripture, prayer, and worship where the Spirit applies gospel truth to the heart.
Endure hardship by focusing on the future joy guaranteed in Christ.

Joy? You cultivate joy?

Where is the joy in your posts? Where are the smiles you've generated, or the moods you've improved?

I don't see these "fruits" from you. I see judgment and rigidity and the absence of joy, and I would wager others here see the same.

You can claim you know the rules of your god, and others can disagree, but claiming what you believe brings joy in any sense just doesn't ring true.

Unsafe, your attempts to promote your faith are an unmitigated disaster. Not for me - you're great for my side. Why Christians don't lose it on you more often has me confused. You make Christianity look stupid, and I always thought that was my job.

The GIFs are very trolling, immature, 4chan-like behaviour. The rest is just typical Christian nutcase stuff we've seen before.

Think it's possible to share abt what we ourselves haven't personally experienced. For instance, Paul wrote about marriage, and Jesus spoke about repentance. I believe the Word of God itself has power, so as long as we're authentically preaching from what's in the Word, no problem.

What I'm more interested in here is the phenomenon of people listening to what's said but largely maintains only the feelings they experienced

Think it's possible to share abt what we ourselves haven't personally experienced. -----

I agree --you can share ---Preach --teach ====what the Word says about what you haven't experienced ---but you can't personally share what freedom is in doing what the Word says if you haven't experienced it-----and sharing your experiences in doing the Word is very powerful and effective -----

So Paul can only preach --teach what the Word says about Married life and how it should be ---He cannot give any personally advice on how he himself handles any given situations in a marriage ---as he has not experienced it ------

He can only preach on what He knows from the Old Testament laws on marriage ------and that is what he is doing here

1 Corinthians 7 is an example -------

Concerning Married Life

7 Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.”

2 But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.

3 The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband.

4 The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband.

-----------------------

I say -----Here in the video I posted we are talking About the Fruits of the Spirit---Love --joy --peace ---longsuffering --etc ---

So while you can preach to your people on what the word says about having Peace that surpasses all understanding -----you cannot give the people your own experience in how freeing it is to be able to have that peace that surpasses all understanding -----

But if you yourself have experienced that peace ---you can confidently by Faith speak out how freeing it is to have that peace when the storms come -------otherwise all you can do is speak the Word and be like everyone else not knowing the freedom this peace gives you

So you can't Preach the freedom in the fruits of the Spirit ---if you have never felt that freedom yourself ---and believe me there is FREEDOM in that peace when you have experienced it ----

I've been reading various texts on the conflicts of theology, religion and repulsion of power as declared by God's Book (tome). Of interest is the number of observations of conflict within the expressions themselves as if God is struggling within thyself ... thus internalization as innate or otherwise whisp of Sophia (wisdom as MOG). Given her position being diminished by the efforts of mankind's avarice ... consider the consequences!

Then the orthodox wouldn't get beyond that confinement or bond would they ... like several mystics, philosophers, prophets, foresights and prescient conditions that are overlooked by powers laying eggs ...

This has a consequence of some survival and some in the opposing state looking in from out there in an autonomous isolated position by winners that didn't wish to suffer the alternate (being the discomfort of learning what excess winning accomplished in the ruins) as a class of empathy ... a far reacting feeling or sensation of metaphysical nature ... thus mat relate to some sense of light power, gravid power, electromagnetism and 2 other powers of weak and strong nature in the non atomic particles ...

Just realization initiated scholarship into things no physical and also metaphysical ... resistant to psychometrics a statistical potential rather than absolute. Conclusions in such studies can be iffy ... so I refuse to be too sure about God's determinacy as that essence seems to be somewhat unsure also waiting on response from what his offspring discovered while out there ... an OBI?

It is really interesting to see the scatter of human attitudes and moods about certainty and uncertainty of God in soulful essence of that spirit that declared initially to support clarity in the search for what we don't know ... i.e. "Keep the way clear for your ideals" (because idealism is a flawed belief in reality) ... a decent approach given what we know of the ultimate stretch? Expect a stress that can cause you to cross the red line ... the actual crossing being the painful portion ... as everything gained in either extreme is extracted ... as what breads out ... white cloud on one side and black cloud on the alternate ... there are metaphors! It is unlikely that a mortal can elaborate on this as it knocks the senses aside ...

Jaebius----

you yourself could preach on how you and your wife deal with challenging situations that come up in your marriage and by sharing your experience --you just may help another who may want to try something similar in overcoming challenging situations in their marriage ----

Paul cannot do that --all Paul can do is preach the Word on what the word says about marriage ----
