I blow hot and cold on Sam Tsui as a songwriter (though I love his singing) but this one, as the kids say these days, kills it.

Oh, and Sara Bareilles followed up that new single with a recording of a song written for, but dropped from, the musical Hamilton. Part of a project similar to the The Greatest Show Reimagined, with various singers taking on songs from the musical.

Nice remix of a song from Kina Grannis' last album done by a friend/musical partner of her husband.

And speaking of Imaginary Future, he's released a new song.

Yes, that's Kina interviewing him at the end.

Crowd sings Bohemian Rhapsody in Hyde Park, while waiting for Green Day to perform. This should go into “Random Acts of Music”. 6minutes of awe...

2:04-2:07???;) (Any way the wind blows?)

Bohemian is an interesting word to investigate the roots Oh'fit ... or those that don't fit convention and orthodox fixation ...

One could be stoned ...

I discovered that they do other cool things, like invite a random young person up on stage to play the guitar at many of their concerts (I guess they usually scout out a fan who says they can play), then they give them the guitar to keep. A couple of kids they invited up were really good, and they were having “the time of their lives”, no pun intended. At one concert, they invited a young woman with a developmental disability up, and Billy Joe taught her/ helped her play. Billy Joe Armstrong seems like a class act, a good guy among rock stars...he’s confident and comes off as having rock star arrogance on stage, but he’s actually a really nice, really intelligent person when you listen to his interviews. They’re probably my favourite band still around today, and they’ve still “got it”. It helps that they’ve aged well - they’re around my age so they’re doing well! Billy Joe has a son who’s a drummer in Blink 182, I think - and is the same age now as when GD started. He looks the same age as his dad almost, because his dad seems so young. It’s incredible.

This kid... she’s about 19 or 20 years old. I saw her in a video of a Green Day concert, get up on stage and play guitar with them (when she was 18), and found her channel. She’s gonna be famous, me thinks. If Justin Beiber can get famous, and this girl doesn’t, there’s no justice in the world. Caution: Loud

I’m so happy to see grunge/ garage punk coming back. Pop just has no substance, no grit, no depth.

(the guitar licks on this remind me of the B52s)

This song...wheeeeew! Holy sh..moly. This is catchy! I recommend it with the volume up!

SWMRS drummer is Joey Armstrong, Billy JoeArmstrong’s son. “The kids are alright”, to quote the Who. It’s obviously very angsty and relevant...and they’re letting it out through art. As it should be. This video is funnier than the original, I thought, so I’m posting it. Dancing zombie pumpkin head....that works.

So happy these kids exist. I was beginning to think young people were complacent... freedom of speech, freedom of expression freedom to “offend” was meant for standing up to oppression, not for supporting it. Freedom of speech and other import rights exist because of this, not in spite of it.

A big reason I still like the 'net is all these differwnt voices from all over the world being given voice seperate from most gatekeepers or nabobs of conformity

Presenting Nikki Lilly, mental health advocate and songbird
From her About page: "Welcome to my Youtube Channel! My name is Nikki, but some of you may know me as Nikki Lilly! I am a 14 year old girl with a passion for nothing except making videos and baking; I have been creating content from June 2013 and have enjoyed every second of it. Youtube is one of the BEST things in my life, and I am so grateful for the opportunities I have gotten from sitting in my bedroom and talking to a camera. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for my channel, and I love you all immensely."
