Quirky facts we've learned

It also can present a problem for us and our society

Those who don't assimilate (become Westernized...)

I love being able to see from the inside of another culture woo hoo!

And without doubt shadows will arise in the state of mined as a hollo just for passing through as a Glen in other parts of the globe ... when many abort the idea-L 've globalism as peace! Thus conflicts in many hollow space ... due to misinformation about ejected know-how ... knowledge about gnox ... reflective as Kae (Kath Erin).

How does this register in the vacuum of the head space given that powers say it is best to have nothing there as Sum Zero or a closed circle ... reciprocated or upset observations?

India/Pakistan, and that whole area, had systems imposed on them - regional governments, economics, religious norms, etc. - by the British Empire. Messed up natural geographic regions based on ethnic/religious tribes like Hindu, Sikh, Jain and Muslim, and family/tribal groups, some very ancient, and just divided territories by a totally Brit combo of rivers plus straight lines.

The Ramones named themselves after a name Paul McCartney would use when he wanted to stay at a hotel anonymously

And a caste system.

Another incident that was related to me was a chase somewhere here police cars were nudging the car (which was being driven by a non assimilated Punjabi man) and eventually worked but too well and the car launched atop a police car...what ended up happening is the police car was ground and compacted intentionally by the punjabi man (floored the accelerator, so the wheels ground and ground) killing the officer, but the punjabi man survived.

Talking to the guy, he said he didn't care and wanted to kill the officer.

Again, interesting being able to, in this case related through another, another culture

The punjab was struck by an irrational incident in the source coming from unknown exuberance? Thus creating great waves and ripples in the quantum Wahl ... a field of alien nature as kind of out there ... mortals have to gather from such places ... beyond me why they don't! Fringe information is there ... great for character constructs ... anima shun?

From my Sikh mates I have larned that 70% of them live in India and 30% of them live in Pakistan which makes it very tough for families to visit

That seems to be the main impetus to create a new area just for them called Khalistan

(right now, due to a Sikh here being gunned down/assassinated -- there is a conspiracy theory among Sikhs here that it was a India-sanctioned hit -- there are billboards and signs everywhere in the public with variations on the same signs...for a while there it said "assassins wanted"...a lot of the signs shows a Sikh with what looks like an AK47...sept 10 there will be a vote...this is the 1 terrorist group that our gov't allows or tolerates...I remember when a prominent politician here got beat up by some of them...)

Also bonus quirky fact: not all of them are positive towards Ghandi. I have met one who has nothing good to say aboot him

Again, so good to be able to hear things from the culture themselves, rather than through our filter and so on (with things like they were horrifically oppressed as the only Cause of their bad behaviours...)

Hope you have multicultural peeps there to experience with :3

I doubt any Sikh person is positive towards Gandhi. I remember talking about that with a Sikh friend several years ago. I don't remember the details. My memory sense is that Gandhi did not treat Sikhs well.

He also is responsible for the divide between Punjabi broken up between India & Pakistan

I guess if that had happened here, we would be going on aboot how Gandhi was Problematic, internalized racism, and was Colonialist...

Lots of cool Sikhs here, both non acclimitized and Westernized...

How is it in your neck of the woods?

I discovered a new name for a city I know from a self-identified Brown Person: North Delhi :3

Places can have multiple names :3

And now I know what 55 looks like
My eye corners have dry riverbeds descending onto my cheeks

They look quite cool

There's a lot to admire about the Sikhs and their faith
Indeed. We had Punjabi neighbours at one point and they were quite nice. Ended up moving away to be closer to their kids' families once grands arrived on the scene. And it is a fascinating faith and culture. Unfortunately, the struggles they face at home are causing problems for the community here and I don't see it getting better with the current government in India.

Now that is a good quirky fact indeed :3
