Not sure , other than the first sentence, that this has very much to do with Covid. Perhaps you can put it into a suicide thread
Well this is rediculous! International travelers arriving at Pearson airport are just walking right through without quaranting in a motel as they're supposed to. Theyre also refusing to be tested for Covid. Why? Because paying a fine for not doing so is only around $800 compared to $2000 for the quarantine motel and no delays.
Government better get their ass in gear and increase the fines to a much larger fine or the whole scenario is useless!.
Meanwhile the Covid variants have our approval to infect many!

Honestly that is crazy
a year after this all started, with numerous countries around the world having some sort of quarantine rules related to hotels and testing , Canada is still trying to figure it out!

I'm certainly seeing flaws in some of our provincial/federal power relationships. This whole thing should have been handled by one Pandemic Preparedness Team, always ready to jump into action, and trump some sections of the normal provincial powers in the Canada Health Act.

If I felt that I had to travel I would refuse the test and the quarantine and I would have my day in court to dismiss the fine no matter how big or small. Why? Because it is the 'right' thing to do.

It's frustrating to see that people don't seem to care how their actions may impact others and the decided lack of empathy. It's also frustrating to see some lame responses from the government. Either do it or don't. If you're putting in rules then enforce them. Also have them make sense.

I would never impose myself on your percieved safe space ... fear not.
My actions to date involve staying home out of empathy for all of the fearful people that have been traumatized into becoming for lack of a better word 'communists'. Keep in mind here that I am not the one calling for enforcing my freedom to make responsible choices on anyone else. And I am making responsible informed choices.
Well I hope you're not much of an international traveler because more and more countries will soon start to ask for proof of a negative Covid test along with proof of vaccination.

Exactly as I have been saying here for the last 6 years or so ... it is no longer considered a conspriacy theory then?
Probably not so much a conspiracy theory but more like a "how will we manage Covid worldwide", but I will give you this.......it will have some serious consequences for peoples freedom of choice.....re: insurance, visas, medical records, etc...... FORCING people to comply if they want to be covered. in certain areas.....so serious thought has to be debated on this one I believe. And that could also extend to other vaccines.

I'm not afraid thank you. I am quite capable of making informed decisions so I am as healthy as possible. I am neither traumatized nor fearfully brainwashed. I also won't give in to paranoia
Should anyone (God forbid) know someone close who gets COVID, here are some drugs that are showing promise that doctors are using now. Also the drugs they use are also related to the stage of the disease they are experiencing.

I can’t believe how slowly our federal government is getting these vaccines. At my age I will be august? Maybe? Hopefully?
and Trudeau says stupids things like we are getting 400,000 march 8...... what? We are a country of 35 million
they are saying well the booking portals aren’t open. No kidding. There are limited vaccines so no point is booking an appointment
meanwhile in Florida, that we all laughed at ,are now doing people over 50 and had 200 cases today
our Florida golf course is still masking but most members have been vaccinated. Honestly. This is very frustrating
and what is amazing to me is that no one seems to say to Trudeau, “ This is not good enough”

The thing with conspiracy theory enthusiasts, is that there are so many conspiracy theories. They seem to glom on to the flavour of the day, then the ideas bleed into one another (and pretty soon you’ve got things happening like holistic health practitioners buying into Qanon). Then, eventually, when something happens that is “sort of kind of vaguely related but not really” plausible enough to squeeze to fit a previous conspiracy narrative, and toss out the aspects that don’t fit, they feel vindicated. Like horoscopes - you can always bend them to fit - but politically motivated ones. And this is from someone who has been sceptical of what the government has really been up to, myself.
