And oh my dear goddes, I do badly with arrows. (In my defense, don't love cities set up with lots of one-ways, like Hamilton, or Peterborough. I'm sure you get used to it, but...)

So claiming a medical exemption for non medical masks works? In my place of business, we are required to ask patrons to don a mask, offer them a disposable one if they don't have it. If they claim "medical exemption", we are to drop it, and move on.
So you would say you had a medical exemption just because you don’t want to wear one, and potentially put staff like Bette, other customers in the store, and possibly yourself, at risk? And even if you were sure you were not infectious, you would set that example for others who might be - by being defiant? So claiming a medical exemption for non medical masks works?

No I would not say I had a medical exemption ... I might say I have a self exemption or I might say nothing at all ... If for whatever reason I wanted to stay in the store and get what I 'needed' there ... I would put on the mask. You just don't get it do you. Forcing a healthy person to wear a mask just because you can ... Wrong. So you would say you had a medical exemption just because you don’t want to wear one,
Once infection rates go up...and masks will help keep them down...how are you going to know for sure, everyday, that you are healthy? What if you feel healthy 2 days before symptoms show up, but you are actually contagious? No I would not say I had a medical exemption ... Why make it more likely for you and everybody else? How Did I Catch the Coronavirus?

So let my story be a parable. Even if you wear a mask, wash your hands frequently, and social-distance, as you must, you might still contract this disease.

It's not as bad if you live in smaller area where there are no infected people. If you lived in a place with high rates of infection - like some US cities, the argument changes. But even in a small town one person could start to spread it to several and it would be back to the same argument - masks help slow the spread and by not wearing one you are encouraging the spread.@kimmio ... I pretty much stay home ... when I do go out ... even though I don't wear a mask ... I am considerate of other people's boundaries ... be not afraid. Have a good nite!
How's Australia doing these days with the COVID?
It is WHO's job to promote public health, and get the word out, you know. This announcement is not a big revelation or proof of something sinister.#WorldMaskWeek: August 7-14
