and as long as there are people who find value in these people to shell out that kind of money to hear them talk, they will keep on getting that money -- if there wasn't, then they wouldn't do it...
remember -- one of Canada's representatives to the world is Mr Rogers -- who happens to fill out his cardigan very well :)

and so it goes
Mr. Rogers is deceased and he was American, no? Are you thinking of his Canadian friend and protege, Mr. Dressup? I think he passed away, too.

Fred McFeely Rogers was born March 20, 1928, in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA. He died February 27, 2003, at age 74, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He was survived by his wife Sara, his two sons James and John, and a trolley. (source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Rogers)

And i belive he was a navy seal. Had heard that was why he wore long sleeve shirts always on tv as he hada kits of tatoos

Actually, Wiki explicitly says (with three citations so it is probably correct), "Despite recurring rumors, he never served in the military.[17][18][19]" so that SEAL story is apocryphal. It does say he went to seminary and was ordained as a Presbyterian minister in 1963. I could actually see him being a minister so this does not surprise me.

Probably that's who Inanna had in mind. A lot of my generation (me included) watched both and they were rather similar in style (Friendly Giant Bob Homme was another).

* i know, i know, our PM isn't our ruler, that's not how it works in Canada...

here's a sweet CanConservative ad -- introducing the polite Illuminati
canada's attack ads are like living in a country where people bring hate crimes against a movie that is all aboot 'radical canadian tea drinking': Noritake instead of Wedgwood patterns

I like that the ad starts by taking on Justin's ability to balance a budget. The Government that hasn't balanced a budget in nine years out of 11 thinks balancing a budget is important? And when they could have balanced the budget last year they decided to wait for an election year because . . .

And in an election year everybody with a high profile appears to be taking the opportunity to find work elsewhere.

Someone is smelling blood in the water.
