Hm. Not usually big fan of medical shows but it has Freema Agyeman, who I have liked in past roles. Maybe once I finish season 1 of Russian Doll, I will give it a whirl.

We're quite enjoying it so far. It has the medical stuff and the relationships. It's neat to see the NYC locations too. Freema Agyeman is good in it.

I just looked up Freema A. No wonder the name and face were familiar. I liked her as Martha Jones. She looks quite different in New Amsterdam.

Thanks for the suggestion. Enjoyed that last night. Nice to see a medical system where everything always works out. Its a bit like Hallmark movies and love.

We just watched If Beale Street Could Talk. It's an excellent story about a young couple in the 70's. He's accused of a crime he didn't commit and she is trying to free him. It's very powerful. The man who plays the man who is falsely accused is a Canadian actor from Toronto.

Good observations. We weren't expecting reality!
No, but as someone working in Rehab it just hurts to see her use a cane that is 8 inches too high. At least, she is using it in the proper hand ( also a common mistake , people think the cane goes on the side of the “ bad” leg. Why don’t they have someone from the medical field gve them feedback

I like New Amsterdam - waiting for the new season to begin - I think March 2! I think I saw "Max" on a TV commercial recently ... surprised me.

And Transplant is another series I like - I think it too is still in hiatus. I have resorted to watching a few old episodes of House!

i was watching House, but, then, I got not happy with the angry personality. I liked it the first time round, but, something about this time, and maybe my mood with COVID - i just didn't want the negativity.

so, i;m watching Chicago Med.

i do like, though, Transplant and New Amsterdam, and look forward to watching new episode.

Last night we watched the movie "Trial of the Chicago 7" - it was riveting and I recommend it highly. It's a Netflix movie. Based on true events in 1969 - and while I've heard the Chicago 7 mentioned, it was not on my teenage radar at all in 1969. There are SO many parallels to issues in the US today - that really struck me - how little some things have changed. Great acting - and I was surprised to see that Sasha Baron Cohen plays Abby Hoffman & is the associate producer. And I didn't know Tom Hayden was one of the 7 - yes - became a senator & was married to activist Jane Fonda for many years.
