Yeah. I understand that’s what he’s talking about. Counter-culture concepts of Christianity appeal to me. Patriarchal norms don’t. They were decided by men in a different time and place and need to change, imo, if they are to be inclusive. Otherwise I’d rather join the non theistic groups doing good work.

It then can work to advocate for children's rights to be free of religion in states where fundamentalist Christian groups run "after school clubs" on public school property....among other forms of advocacy. They are actually a group of mainly extremely principaled professionals who hold science-based progressive values, and are largely atheist and agnostic.

And is not to be confused at all with the Church of Satan (formed 1966 I believe), organized around the teachings of Anton LaVey, who cobbled together quite the syncretic BS that is at base materialist and naturalist and who doesn't take Satan as a literal being but a kind of Archetype that acts in opposition to Abrahamic religions' suppression of certain human urges

Also not to be confused with the Temple of Set (1975), which splintered from Anton LaVey's Church, and they are theist. Its finder/creator Michael Aquino claims.to have summoned Satan whose True Name is Set

Also not to be confused with another splinter called the First Satanic Church (Karla LaVey Oct 31, 1999), who believe they are the True Anton LaVey Church and the Church of Satan is practicing false doctrine

Odd, when once asked about the nature of metaphor, parody and Satyr; they were some of the substitutional elements allowed to suffer the unknown some privacy ... a fact that has stuck to my wall for some period of passing time.
