Without descending into the crude territory:

Reading the actual 200+ page transition document would require more effort than recycling an obtuse derogatory deflection.

When presented with the Alberta transition plan about pensions, borders, energy contracts and continuity of government reducing it to a crude joke about Trump has become par for the course with the peak elbows up zero substance trolls.

Alberta doesn’t need to build a country from scratch.

The institutions, people, infrastructure and economy already exist.

The largest economy on Earth sits directly across Alberta’s southern border.

It already buys the majority of Alberta exports.

The federal policies holding back investment, energy and development would be stripped away.

The biggest problem might be figuring out how to manage all the people trying to move to Alberta.

ANd from what I have reade they are making assumptions about things that have to be negotiated and could have very different results

THe federal supports for ALberta (imcluding the oil industry) would be stripped away. Federal protections for people deemed undesirable by the separatists (immigranst, FNMI, disabled, LGBTQ+) would be stripped away. Federal monies would cease flowing into Alberta. Alberta would become a much smaller piece of the global economy and be set up for annexation by the US as colony or territory like Peurto Rico. The way forward for a future in Alberta is not independence, separation weakens the present and detroys the future -- particularly the next time oil craters

On October 19th, Albertans will be voting
1. on whether to remain in Canada or
2. to begin the process of holding a binding referendum on separation.

One Albertan = One Vote.

Meanwhile in Canada the hive minds are alive and well - on both sides.

If separation has ultimately not floated in Quebec, which has some cultural and linguistic differences that would seem more legit than Alberta whining, I 100% predict that it will fail in Alberta, resulting in nothing more than broken relationships and excessive cost.

Further, if I am wrong, which is very doubtful, Alberta would rapidly devolve into a poor state or a protectorate of the U.S., and i predict an excessive increase in Whine 1.0.

Government sanctioned or not - It is now a matter of public record.
