And your support ends where my will/autonomy asserts itself. You do not have the right to decide another's fate, nor the path by which they get to that.
 
I find quite a distinction between the choice to kill oneself and the choice to potentially kill another. The first is suicide, the second is homicide. Kimmio, let's just drop this. I'm not going to play. I will not again engage in this thread.

And I am saying there's no difference because the maid laws put vulnerable people in danger of being killed so you can have your autonomy to assert your will as you see fit.
 
We are all in danger because we are in humane groupies ... these are mortal ... and thus limited. Expect such lines and dashes are made individual and must reorient at a time after delusions come to light ... sometimes in a flash!

This godamn law is giving me increased anxiety and depression. It's hard to even know who to talk to about my feelings about it. because nobody's been paying attention. I don't even trust a doctor to know what they're doing regarding this. I explain to people - doctors, neighbours, friends, family, anybody - about ableism inherent in the law and why and most people look at me like I'm trying to explain quantum physics to a kindergartener, then patronize with some statement that affirms their cluelessness. Or, worse, act like I'm the naive one. The average person doesn't have an f'ing clue. Likely the only reason anyone here knows about the disability rights concerns is because I've been blasting about them for 5 years like a broken record playing on a loudspeaker - which isn't exactly pleasant for anybody. Least of all me. Damn this stupid evil law all to hell is how I feel about it.

I don't even trust doctors anymore to know what they're doing regarding this. How can we trust doctors to save us and help us if they'd just as soon offer us the "option" of being killed? Personal choice, right? No biggie? Now, hold that up next to all the effort and resources being spent on saving vulnerable people from covid. There's a big disconnect in understanding.

If you agree with me, please explain these concerns to others - doctors, nurses, support workers, and others who could make a difference. It's not just the politicians who should know, it's everybody.

Have you never heard the expression that the world is crazy with emotions?

Have no doubt that in an emotional state people are significantly irrational ... and will drag you along if at all possible because of hated socialism! Hate fit right in there with the emotional comings and goings ...

Don't go there ...
 
Have you called your MP? Voice your concerns? I agree though that there are a lot of concerns being raised by different groups
 
Realize that the world is crazy (to a large portion) and thus standing down is recommended ... so one can understand what's up there ...

Find the Joey in insanity as best you can ... it may be difficult!

Realize that the options like knowledge and intelligence are limited because of vast instances of denial of these factors in preference to following the heart blindly in irrational emotional moments ... that's the twist that some call Warp Speed ... endocrine override?

Thus thoughts are out there ...

I'm not sure I agree. The average person knowing nothing about it, therefore doing nothing about it, has allowed it to slide further and further down a slippery slope.

Is WC2 a good sample cross section of the world? Maybe not. Maybe more people out there would be able to see the problem with the law. @Luce NDs it's not helping anything to let it slide. We didn't gain disability rights or any kind of human rights by being totally passive.

Like you said - they are aware. We need non disabled allies to be calling them. Because ableism is inherent in the legal issue here, non disabled citizens have the clout.

As for me, I need a friend or family member who understands the depth of this problem, and understands what it means that disability rights are going down the drain in favour of assisted suicide - who's on my side - to talk to. I don't have one (not even counsellors have taken the time to learn). That's what I want for Christmas.

Ya might as well let it slide because that is what the powers would prefer in their self-destructive modes ... at present the common folk will have no further weight than that ... cause we fit the bill of the powers ... being know nothings!

And there nothing pops up again like a gravid void! No one puts anything into a system that is deficient in the first place ... allowing bottom line collapse!

This could be extended into a great story of a screwed up political myth about failed powers!

As said in times past: "what goes up must come down and thus hubris and de neigh MS ... some alter it to nemesis for confusion value! Let the anarchy continue ... it stirs the pool controlling the stench of bi-polar operations in leaders! Imagine duplicated partisan operations to beat the means ... the middle folk!

And down wegohs ... with a squirm ...

Don't think ... just do ... and thus it was done in a dash! With so many quick leaders ... it is too slick for me to handle!

Ancient things must come to pass as they come around again! Old essence ...
