I am sorry to share the sad news of the death of our friend LBMuskoka

@PilgrimsProgress informed us that she was recently advised of Linda's passing in August of this year. At this time, we have been unable to locate an obituary.

Linda had openly shared her cancer journey on her Facebook wall, beginning with a post on December 12 about the discovery of lesions on her brain on December 2. Over the following months, she kept friends updated on her treatments, including chemotherapy. She completed her last round of treatment in July.

Linda was part of our community for many years, and I know that many of you will have memories of her.

Please share your memories of LBMuskoka here, so that we can remember her together.

Her last post, on July 17, was this meme. Classic LB!

LB must have been here close to right from the start, I think. First, Hi everyone - I am perplexed a bit that I have only been here when finding out a wonderfriend has died. There was a time when WC got me through a LOT. And challenged me and inspired me, and I still feel at home.
LB was a huge part of that - she was abrasive and funny and wise and challenging, both here and in person. I was glad to call her my cottage friend -we were both in love with the same lake though with different views. And though I only met her in person twice, one of those, she told us about the bear that crawled through her kitchen window to get the pie - what a grand, quirky Muskoka cottage that was. Sometime after that, my husband and I went to their cottage as well, for a boat ride and a lot of laughs. It was smaller, summery, rustic and loved. She'd grown up in and around Gravenhurst, and her parents had the marina that everyone went to, so there were deep old roots for her there. I appreciate that. After her partner died suddenly, she vanished for awhile. I can only imagine how hard that was. I was glad for her presence on facebook and her wit and vocal opinions and lake updates. Anyway, yeah, I'm really sad she is gone. How unfair that brain cancer took her like that. She'd have had some quirky wisecrack or thoughtful quote for it, I'm sure.

Sending my warm wonder wishes out to all my old friends here.

I do remember some private exchanges about dark and unseen themes ... she couldn't figure me ... but then neither could my mother who thought me a demon because I had an iota of intelligence ... a sin of the tree of knowledge ... sapient ...

I study the great unknown ... and authorities don't like it as if there's a double meaning there! We shall see when we get to the other's ide ... this having at one time matched with an Ego ... then subdivided ... both superlative and subtle as only it can be ...

General/ordinary people ask ... the powers don't want to understand ... they'd feel some responsibility ... adequate?

She came over from the original Wondercafe, didn't she? I certainly think of her as an "original". Nice to see you @Birthstone. Thanks for dropping by.

LBMuskoka (I really tend to know people by the handle on here) was a regular poster in our early days and contributed a lot to the site back then. She has been missed since her departure. RIP Linda and my thoughts and condolences to her friends and family.
