I had to laugh this morning. My friend/neighbour who walks my dog most mornings, early, cancelled yesterday because of the extreme cold. He came this a.m., though, and I had Lucy all kitted out in her little jacket - for him. She's part husky, doesn't get cold, but wears a jacket on cold days because seeing her without one makes Jim feel cold...

LAST, as I wrestle Lucy OUT of her jacket, which she thinks a foolish contraption.
 
It is practically impossible to do anything in this house! Mom downstairs while I was in RD and has piled up everything niece and I had sorted (again) and moved things so we're going to not only have to start over (again) on the sorting but will have to move a bunch of stuff that should never have been moved before we can. Grrrrrrrr
 
Bit of history...in 2004 our house was getting painted - painted turned out to be a dud and I fired him but he had started painting in every room and hadn't finished even one...basement carpet was totally replace shortly after (part of the plan at the time)...we weren't able to get another painter till later into 2005 and he had to sand the walls and start over so took longer. We were living out of boxes for almost a year, and things were boxed and piled into the basement till we could deal with them and unpack again...as life happens, boxes were opened, things moved, and such but nothing was ever put away - except in my room. Then Gramma died in 2009 and my uncle brought up umpteen totes and boxes that filled our solarium and most of the spare space in the basement - and things got put on hold yet again. We finally finished going through all Gramma's stuff last summer, and now have been atempting to go through the rest of ours, and find the toys for niece to play with. But mom - who is after us to get this done cause she can't do it - keeps sabatoging our efforts to get anything accomplished.
 
Now I wonder why your mom would mix up your sorting?
Was she trying to help or trying to slow down the process?

Everyone who leaves their Christmas tree set up until Epiphany will be busy tomorrow!

I packed up all my Christmas decorations LAST week.
