How exactly does one mark or celebrate Boxing Day?
With cold food! Ha ha the receptacle for the oven conked as we were preheating the oven on Christmas Day and it looks like no electricians work on Christmas or Boxing Day. Ha ha thank goodness for the microwave and veggie steamer so it's not all peanut and jam sandwiches.

*sigh* I just want to have a nice, long talk with the first person who thought to himself or herself, "Y'know, if I strap these long pieces of wood to my feet, I bet I can make it to the bottom of this mountain in one piece! Y'all watch this!"

Must have been a child who first discovered the sheer joy of sliding down a snowy hill on one's (probably slippery leather covered) butt...

LAST, as I contemplate the likelihood of dragging my sick-ish butt (some variation of this 'cold' that has plagued me since September has reawoken it's nasty self and I now have anosmia on top of my other ailments; also my shingles pain is bugging me) around the house to make enough order out of chaos that I could cook a turkey & have someone or three over to help eat it.
