Saw a puppy with its owner when I was out for a walk today (beautiful morning!). I thought the puppy was carrying a stick in its mouth but when they got closer to me, I realized it was a large seed pod from a tree. So cute.

No palm trees but the barren trees are swaying wildly in the strong wind. ;) Actually we are in a weird area - there is roughly 1 km between the major highway on the east boundary of the community and the train tracks on the west boundary - it can be pouring rain or snowing on the highway or tracks and be bone dry in between.

It was a glorious day in central Ontario today. Highs in the mid teens, bright sunshine, no wind. I had the dogs down to the waterfront trail this aft, and the lake was still, and you could watch the gulls all diving to feast on the little fish that proliferate this time of year in our lake.
 
Took the bus to work for the first time in several months. Think I'll be cold and ride my bike to work tomorrow, faster than the bus and less boring. How will I ever last on transit when the real winter comes and I can't ride anymore?
 
Starting a new course tomorrow in seminary - "Integrative Seminar." Looking forward to it. It's sure to be integrative.

How long is your bike to work? Maybe the snow and ice will stay off the roads this winter.;)
