Don't know if I can sleep tonight. I'm so revved up about voting tomorrow.

I did my revving last weekend at the advance poll.

Nenshi = Naheed Nenshi = very popular liberal mayor of Calgary and devoted opponent of Harper (and a Muslim to boot, albeit from the very liberal Ismaili sect that my Muslim friends also belong to)

Rachel = Rachel Notley = NDP premier of Alberta.

Basically, she's saying that after getting bounced out of 24 Sussex by Liberals, he moving home to a city run by a liberal (not sure if he's actually Liberal, though he seems like it) and a province run by the NDP. Not exactly the end to his political career that I think he planned on.

How do you know he'll move to Alberta? He's in Ottawa now. Why wouldn't he opt to remain in Ontario?

His home place is in Calgary, he is an Alberta resident though his position required him to live in Ottawa.

Okay. I just don't see why anyone, having discovered the glory and wonder of Ontario, Canada's most-important province, would then choose to go to Alberta of all places.

He's actually from Ontario originally but moved out there a long time ago. I actually heard somewhere that he and Laureen have a new place in Calgary so obviously he's been planning for some time to move back, though they did say they might wait until Rachel (their daughter) finishes the current school year so she does not have to change schools.
