Furnace just turned on because it's COLD here in AB.

We have had a chilly week here but never got that bad. Mrs. M did have the space heater in her office going on a couple mornings, though.

Supposed to be cold and rainy tomorrow, and then later in the week too, with more potential cold/rain next week according to the long-range forecast.

I just did a quick walk around the garden between rain storms - some plants have really popped with all this rain! Still no sign of life from some seeds I planted.

I note the die off of fir trees is getting excessive ... and I'm getting too unstable to take then down ... as they no longer reach up as icons ...

Fire hazards ... the Ir nony of it ... then in the ball off the old steeple is carved an "IR" ... a peak of madness to poke at heavens and great unknowns ...

Could it be a sign of ultimate stretches ... thus we break! Forming hard spots in the clarity ... and casting shadow ... Platonic?

Yeah, our lawn and plants are doing well with all the rain we have been getting here. Supposed to get more on Thursday.

Our first picking became rhubarb cake. I got the recipe from an elderly neighbour back w hen my kids were small.

My family's rhubarb pretty much always went to pies, though I think Mom also made some kind of preserves with it?

Mom always made rhubarb pie and crisp, and then froze a lot for stewed rhubarb.

I don't think I've ever had rhubarb crisp though the idea sounds yummy in principle.
