Mirror is "unique" in many respects. It can be raining cats and dogs out of town, but not a drop once you turn off the highway from the east or cross the tracks from the west - you can literally see a straight line dividing the rain from the non-rain area...and the reverse can be true - we can have the rain in town and drive right out of it just by leaving town.

They happen here too. Pelting rain in one town, nothing in the next one. Parts of Regina flooded this morning.

I don't think I've had it either but I can definitely see it being good.

Cinnamon goes well with a number of fruits (yes, I know rhubarb is technically a veggie but we eat it as a fruit).

Will definitely have to try it, thank you. Mostly when I've had rhubarb it's been paired with strawberry or apple in pie or crisp

Rhubarb and strawberry is a classic combo

Cinnamon is prone to reaction in some folk and thus a sin in their consumption. Yesterday we heard from a woman that has gone 8 years avoiding fish that she believed she was alergic too, even though it was false. There was a sad gap in the freedom to enjoy reality ... althought she was told to be cautious around shellfish because they do have some touchy compositions for some people's private makeup of endocrine, genes, etc.

The etc. is a large spectrum ... all that matter beyond our grasp ... a humbling challenge ...

Only 1 inch of rain out of this last weekend of rain. Supposed to rain every day/night this week.

Whereas we are looking at hot and humid with no rain forecase until, I think, Thursday. I'm working on the deck today but will probably have to move indoors after lunch so I can benefit from the AC.

From the "the only luck is bad luck" file: A guy I know got stuck at home because his wife walked off with his keys so he couldn't use his car. Now he needs to get his daughter to the local hospital for x-rays. Hand injury. But ... he doesn't have a car.

Bus? Taxi? Call a friend?

Not having personal access to a car is definitely inconvenient. I had to cancel a cariology appt because I couldn't find a driver. As we age this becomes even more difficult.

He was going to talk to a neighbour. If it were I, I'd just bite the bullet and use my Uber account.
