We have a little bit of snow right now. School buses are cancelled today amid dire predictions of freezing rain and ice pellets.
 
Driver brought the papers and suggested I wait till tomorrow to go out as roads/streets not that great and there is lots of blowing snow (plus, a ridiculous windchill) so I'm staying home today.
 
Ended up not too bad here. Rain but little to none of the freezing rain they warned us about. There is a chance of freezing drizzle tonight but that's usually more manageable that all-out freezing rain.
 
We have had light snow most of the day. Even light snow builds up a mess. . Watched a guy getting his car MORE suck outside our house. Didnt seem to make many smart moves but got free eventually. .

This entire area is listed as Travel Not Recommended.
 
Street got ploughed out earlier in the afternoon (unusually prompt for the County!) so I should have no trouble in the morning - and the wind is to hopefully die down during the night.
 
Wow that was pretty powerful lightning! Tapering off now. Thanks for the heads-up, it was beautiful and all the while the very tall Willows were making crackling sounds on the ice covered vines!
 
Good morning! Welcome to Thursday. Last night produced a thunderstorm in the skies in this part of the land, some of you may have heard it. Seems to me that rarely happens this time of the year. Anyway, we gather today around the Coffee Cart to review yesterday's event, about weather, newspaper deliveries, etc., and to look to what today will bring. We will converse, support, and connect as we do; over coffee, tea, and baked goodies. This morning, the Wonderbaker has created cookies of various types, a nice choice so all may find something to their taste.
The tea water is boiling, coffee is freshbrewed, and cookies are nicely warm from the oven. Everything is set up, all are invited. Come in and join in the fun!

4:55 AM and I'm off to deliver papers...hardly any breeze so feels very tolerable even though quite cold.
 
Home...I'm done for the day...completely done.................................................................................................
 
I feel like music should start playing when you say that. Not sure what music. Probably something lively and folk-y.
