I have never eaten a pickled carrot or even heard of them. Pickled beets, on the other hand, are very tasty!
I love pickled carrots! Pretty much any veggie can be pickled :) I still have pickled beets from LAST year (and so few beets this year) so didn't make more

Anyone ever eat harvard beets? My mom used to buy the canned version and I really disliked them. Kind of slimy I always thought.

That's pretty much the only way mom and gramma served them (for the ones they didn't pickle) and we liked them - never had the canned version (didn't know there was a canned version)

We also ate fresh beets and beet greens from the garden. No sauce or anything, just steamed I think.

If truly a fixed law; religion, can it be altered in good sense ... the the essence of all that is out there ... intelligence is beyond all great affiliations! You can't get there from where we're at ... constantly rejecting information that is beyond our understanding ... albeit strange at the time like that character from Galilee ... folks conflict over the matter ... forms clouds overhead!

And God declared ... do not make oaths over things you refuse to improve upon as on us ... thus divorce and other dissociations that resemble aborted attempts ... power fears break-up! Low Ayer 'd it just doesn't hold together well ... fey, flighty words?

On the pickle discussion, I have long detested pickles (the usual pickled cucumbers Jae mentions) so have shied away from other pickled items. I think I have had some Asian pickled foods that I liked (e.g. there a spicy pickled radish we used to buy canned in Asian stores) but the usual Western pickling methods have generally not appealed to me.
