back out at 7:30 AM and spent 40 mins pruning the front lilacs that I didn't get done in the fall
My big lilac at the back is so big now, I was "pruning" it with my saw last year. Had to get rid of some low branches that were getting in my way when I was mowing the lawn.

These are dwarf lilacs so easier to handle - only took them down as they were too tall for me to toss the snow over when I was shovelling this winter

I have this big bush lilac, which has purplish flowers, and then two Ivory Silk French lilacs, which are small-medium sized trees with white flowers. All are at the back, though, so don't affect shovelling.

My bush lilac at the back isn't very big - very slow growing one

Too windy for me to bike this morning. Also FB has changed something (again!) and it is very difficult to post pictures - why did they have to make it harder, when it was quite easy before??? Grrrrr
