My big lilac at the back is so big now, I was "pruning" it with my saw last year. Had to get rid of some low branches that were getting in my way when I was mowing the lawn.back out at 7:30 AM and spent 40 mins pruning the front lilacs that I didn't get done in the fall
These are dwarf lilacs so easier to handle - only took them down as they were too tall for me to toss the snow over when I was shovelling this winterMy big lilac at the back is so big now, I was "pruning" it with my saw last year. I have this big bush lilac, which has purplish flowers, and then two Ivory Silk French lilacs, which are small-medium sized trees with white flowers. All are at the back, though, so don't affect shovelling. These are dwarf lilacs so easier to handle - only took them down as they were too tall for me to toss the snow over when I was shovelling this winter
